The 2023 Audi A4 Allroad is more than just the wagon variant of the A4. It has the capability to venture out beyond the typical luxury car. The wagon body style provides 58.5 cubic feet of cargo space with the rear seats folded and 24.2 cubic feet with the rear seats in use. The Allroad also has 6.5 inches of ground clearance, slotting in between the standard A4’s 4.2 inches and the Q7’s 7.9 inches. The A4 Allroad was last updated for the 2020 model year, with mildly revised styling and a new infotainment system, which carries over to the 2023 model year.
Trims for the A4 Allroad are Premium, Premium Plus, and Prestige. Standard features on the Premium trim include 18-inch alloy wheels, leather upholstery, three-zone climate control, power-adjustable front seats, heated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, a 10-speaker stereo, and a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Moving up to the Premium Plus adds a fully digital instrument panel (called Virtual Cockpit), a heated steering wheel, satellite radio, surround-view parking monitor, and a hands-free power liftgate. Options on this trim include heated and cooled sport front seats, a Wi-Fi hotspot, navigation, and a 19-speaker Bang & Olufsen premium stereo.
The Prestige adds the navigation and premium stereo as standard equipment. The Prestige trim also includes heated rear seats and a head-up display. For 2023, a Black Optics package is available on the Premium Plus and Prestige trim levels. This package adds dark accents and unique 18-inch wheels.
The Audi A4 Allroad comes equipped with a turbocharged four-cylinder engine which makes 261 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque. Power is routed through a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission to Audi’s Quattro all-wheel drive. The A4 Allroad comes with Audi Drive Select, which allows the driver to toggle Comfort, Auto, Dynamic, Individual, and Allroad drive modes. The A4 Allroad has a confident suspension designed to handle most on-road scenarios and the occasional dirt and gravel conditions.

The A4 Allroad comes equipped with automatic emergency braking, forward-collision warning, and lane-departure warning. Driver-assistance features such as blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, front-and-rear parking sensors, traffic-sign recognition, and a head-up display are all optional.
