The 2022 Audi S8 is the performance variant of the brand’s range-topping flagship luxury sedan. It builds on the opulent A8 sedan with a potent power plant and accompanying performance handling refinements. For 2022, the S8 gains styling updates, including a new grille design, front and rear bumpers, and side sills. The S8 features split dual exhaust outlets and 20-inch alloy wheels. The S8 has 12.5 cubic feet of trunk space, which is on the small side among full-size luxury sedans.
The cabin design is highlighted by the Audi Virtual Cockpit (a fully digital instrument panel) and dual center-console screens. The lower screen operates the climate and seating controls. The upper screen is home to the infotainment system, including Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Amazon Alexa.
The S8 is offered in a single trim that comes loaded up with standard features and is available with various option packages. It features a four-seat comfort-oriented layout with a rear center console that includes controls for the lighting and rear seat adjustments. The front seats come standard with heating and ventilation, and the whole interior is bathed in leather.
The 2022 Audi S8 comes equipped with a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 engine. It makes 563 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque. Power is routed to Quattro all-wheel drive through an eight-speed automatic transmission with manual tap-shift mode.
