The 2022 Audi RS 5 is a slick, sophisticated high-performance coupe that makes carving corners as effortless as long, comfortable drives. The coupe provides seating for four passengers. It also provides 10.9 cubic feet of cargo space, which can be expanded with the 40/20/40 split-fold rear seats.
The RS 5 comes standard with 19-inch alloy wheels, LED matrix-design headlights, and a sport rear differential. Inside, it includes Nappa leather upholstery with unique honeycomb stitching and integrated RS logo. It also comes standard with heated front seats, RS carbon inlays, tri-zone climate control, a power trunk-lid, panoramic power sunroof, and a Bang & Olufsen premium stereo system. The RS 5 features a fully digital instrument panel, wireless device charging, and a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and wireless Apple CarPlay.
Behind the RS 5’s massive grille, a twin-turbocharged 2.9-liter V6 makes 444 horsepower and 442 pound-feet of torque. It routes power through an 8-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission to Audi’s Quattro all-wheel drive.
Shoppers can enhance the RS 5 with the Dynamics Package, which costs $3,400 and includes a sport exhaust system, RS Sport Suspension with dynamic ride control, and red brake calipers. The RS 5 will sprint from zero to 60 mph in 3.7 seconds, on the way to a top speed of 155—and its top speed can be optionally raised to 174 mph. The RS 5 requires premium fuel and returns an EPA-estimated 18 mpg city, 25 highway, and 21 combined.
The RS 5 features a sport suspension and performance brakes standard, but it can be further upgraded with a sport exhaust, ceramic brakes, and an adaptive/adjustable sport suspension.
Standard driver assistance features on the RS 5 include automatic emergency braking, forward-collision avoidance, pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning, and automatic high beams. Available safety packages add features such as adaptive cruise control, front-and-rear parking sensors, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic assist.
Base MSRP for the 2022 Audi RS 5 Coupe is $75,900. The Black Optics package adds $1,600 to that price, while the Black Optics Carbon will tack on $5,500. An exclusive Bronze styling package will add $12,000 to the price. The RS 5 is backed by a four-year/50,000-mile powertrain warranty.
