The Lincoln Navigator entered the large luxury SUV segment in 1998. In 2018, it got a redesign featuring a tall roof, bold lines, big lights, and plenty of chrome. It competes with other luxury SUVs like the Infiniti QX80 Luxe and the Cadillac Escalade. This imposing design carries over unchanged for 2019.
The Navigator delivers 450 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque courtesy of a 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged EcoBoost V6 engine. A 10-speed automatic transmission comes standard and features a push-button shifter. Rear-wheel drive (RWD) comes standard in the base configuration, though 4-wheel drive (4WD) is available. A RWD Navigator is EPA-rated for 16 mpg city, 23 highway, 19 combined. The EPA hasn’t yet released numbers for 2019 4WD models, though the 2018 model’s ratings came in at 16, 21, and 18. Expect to sacrifice 1 mpg for highway and combined ratings with long-wheelbase models.
Trim levels include the Base, Select, Reserve, and Black Label, the latter three of which are all offered in “L” spec, the long-wheelbase configuration. The Navigator’s cabin is sophisticated, with leather- and wood-trimmed surfaces throughout, ambient lighting, and a customizable 12-inch instrument display. Other standard features include 10-way power-adjustable heated front seats, second-row captain’s chairs, a third-row bench with power fold, keyless entry, remote start, power-adjustable brake and gas pedals, memory functions for seat and audio settings, and a hands-free liftgate. Options include 30-way power-adjustable front seats, a heated power-folding second-row bench, a heated steering wheel, and a dual-pane panoramic sunroof. The Black Label trim gets exclusive interior styling options, too.
The Lincoln Navigator shares Ford’s easy-to-use Sync 3 interface for all trims. Standard features include a 10-inch touchscreen, a 14-speaker Revel audio system, HD Radio, satellite radio, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Amazon Alexa, a Wi-Fi hot spot, and navigation. Options include a 20-speaker Revel audio system, a CD player, wireless-device charging, and a rear-row entertainment system with 10-inch screens.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) awarded a 5-star overall rating to the 2019 Navigator. Standard safety features include a reversing camera, blind-spot warning, and a Side Wind Stabilization feature that helps keep the Navigator on course through tricky crosswinds. Available features include lane-departure warning, forward-collision warning and mitigation, pedestrian detection, smart cruise control, park assist, a 360-degree camera, and a head-up display (HUD).
There’s a lot going on with the Lincoln Navigator, in terms of both size and content. Though previous generations shied away from fully committing to this tough segment, it’s time to take this SUV’s luxury credentials seriously.

What owners say
"Overall, owners of the 2019 Lincoln Navigator rave about its luxury, comfort, and spaciousness. Many appreciate its powerful ride and high-quality features, while some express disappointment over the lack of standard tech features offered by competitors at similar price points. The elegant design and strong value retention are commonly highlighted, making many feel their investment is worthwhile."
Thus vehicle is loaded with features. Heated and cooling seats. Heated steering wheel. Multi position powered seats. A feature that i never had on any other past vehicles was the HUD (heads up display).Running boards that open up when you open the door. Room for 7. Purchased the L reserve trim. Very comfortable seats. If your in the market for a roomier vehicle this is it.
January 11, 2026This car is top of the line luxury, very comfortable The black label that I purchased has every option and I am very pleased. This is my third Navigator and when I buy my next car it will be my forth.
October 7, 2024The 2019 Navigator reserve is a large luxury SUV in every way, and a great value when purchased as a used vehicle. Good gas mileage considering its weight, adjustable ride options, good pickup and acceleration , very comfortable ride, loaded with safety and convenience features like HUD, lane keep assist, and adaptive cruise. Third row seats are electric, interior finish is high quality in terms of materials, workmanship, and functionality, I would say it may be the best in its class and I would buy it again.

March 18, 2024Best large size Luxury SUV on the market currently.
June 4, 2021Best quality, room, bells and whistles, safety tech, keeps its value! Dependable!
December 14, 2023This is by far the most luxurious and roomy vehicle I’ve ever owned. The Navigator L is spacious and luxurious and surprisingly fun and spirited to drive . The factory’s sound system booms and the seats are perfect for a long road trip. We have plenty of room for all the kids, and the luggage , and even the dog! Incredibly happy with the purchase and surprised and delighted by features such as the illuminated seat belt buckles, the 22 inch wheels , and the fully programmable and personalized keys.
August 30, 2022I am very impressed with the Navigator. Its nothing that it cant do. I had the QX 56 and the QX80 and they were both great but in my opinion the lincoln navigator is second to none. The seat controls the entertainment and the smooth but powerful ride is just awesome.
October 12, 2022Overwhelming with features, great value and is not missing anything if you go black label. Cadillac and Range Rover, Infiniti, Mercedes-Benz and BMW are nice but Lincoln takes the win.
September 20, 2022The car is great! It has every option you can get and we are very happy with our selection!
November 21, 2020The navigator has a very fluid interior not over complicated and enough tech but not over done simply elegance and nice driving suv for a vehicle of this size. The Cadillac Escalade has more tech and more cargo rear space but the Lincoln is old school regal elegance
