2019 Chevrolet Equinox Reviews, Pricing & Specs

Expert review
After last year’s redesign, the Equinox returns with new HD rear-view and surround-view cameras, an updated infotainment system, and a bit of a package shuffle.
The 2019 model year sees the Equinox gain some clarity in the form of HD rear-view and surround-view cameras. Those are important upgrades in a vehicle that does not offer great visibility, and with a new infotainment system and a newly available Lights and Bright package making LED lights and chrome wheels an option for the LT trim, the Equinox is better than ever. But it’s still missing a lot, leaving it as an also-ran among its competition.

What owners say
"Overall, drivers are very satisfied with the 2019 Chevrolet Equinox, often praising its smooth ride, spacious interior, and good fuel economy. Many appreciate its powerful engine and various features that enhance the driving experience. However, some reviewers wished for more amenities at lower trim levels and noted some minor inconveniences, such as manual passenger seats and an inability to turn off the auto-stop feature."
I have a 2019 equinox that is having the problem of starting, keep being told my battery is fine, put in a new starter and the same problem. The dealership has no clue. This problem needs to be fixed.

May 9, 2021This auto handles great and is easy to drive. I give it a 100%.
April 6, 2024I love the room, the smoothness and the 2.0T is a plus. The downside is that chevy did not put a way to turn off the autostop, but I love the car.
August 15, 2023We are enjoying the push button start, the onboard GPS/Phone/ and Sirius features. We felt this car is a very good value, with low miles.
March 17, 2021last model yr. for 2 L engine. Current Equinoxes underpowered. The premier model has all the current SAFETY FEATURES available so it is good value over New. More HP than Rav4,altho Rav4 gets better millage. In my view Equinox better looking. Current pricing for used cars too high ,prices are dropping for homes & cars will follow.
January 17, 2023Super nice car and very safe! Love all the features and drives very smooth. Definitely a great choice!!
August 13, 2022Looks good, rides great also very powerful with the 2.0L engine. I’ve talked to other owners and drove one myself and all the discussions were positive. Been driving a small car for a year and keeping it for the work commute. it’s going to be nice to have an SUV again to haul my bikes and dogs to parks and campgrounds.
September 10, 2021Nothing has changed about my review below, from 3 years ago. DO NOT listen to the negative comments from the critics in car magazines and online about this Equinox. The 1.5 - 4 cylinder turbo engine is GREAT. I wanted this engine and did not want the 2.0. I was looking for an SUV that rides well and is fuel efficient. I am very happy. I am getting a lot better mileage than my last …
