The 2019 Aston Martin Vantage is a true high-performance sports car complete with a sleek exterior, luxurious interior, and a powerful twin-turbo V8.
The Vantage’s exterior design reflects its speed and power. It features thin, rakish headlights set above the aggressive grille. Its 20-inch wheels are wrapped in Pirelli P Zero low-profile tires. In the back, the dual exhaust is framed within large rear diffuser vents topped by dramatically thin tail lights, which blend seamlessly into the rear spoiler.
On the inside, the Vantage features a high-tech cockpit that focuses on the driver. The cabin seats two in bolstered sport-bucket seats and features a combination of leather and Alcantara, Buyers also have the option of vibrant contrasting accent panels and stitching for the cabin. Other standard features include a black leather steering wheel, automatic climate control, remote start, front and rear parking sensors, and a tire pressure monitoring system.
The Vantage also features a premium audio system, which is operated through a standard 8-inch LCD screen. It provides USB and Bluetooth connectivity, and it also comes with a standard navigation system. Below this screen, an array of controls sit right at the driver’s fingertips, including a push-button shift selector and performance control settings.
Buyers can further upgrade their Vantage through an array of optional features. For one, the leather and Alcantara interior can be swapped out for a full leather interior. Other options include a sport steering wheel, upgraded sport bucket seats, and embroidered or embossed headrests. Buyers can also opt for heated and ventilated seats, an upgraded premium audio system, a touchpad control system, and even a glass switchgear.
The Vantage is powered by a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8, which makes 503 horsepower and 505 pound-feet of torque. The engine sits between the driver and the front wheels, which moves it closer to the center of the car, reducing body roll and improving performance. Power is sent to an 8-speed automatic transmission through an alloy torque tube with a carbon fiber prop shaft, then traveling to the rear wheels through an electronic differential, or “E-Diff.” This new technology is linked to the Vantage’s stability control and can put power to each wheel individually as the computer sees fit for ideal traction at all times. The result is a stunning coupe that will rocket from zero to 60 mph in just 3.5 seconds with a top speed of 195 mph.
However, the Vantage is about more than just straight-line acceleration. It features an Adaptive Damping System with Skyhook technology, and drivers can select Sport, Sport+, and Track drive modes—each with their own settings for throttle response, steering feel, shift mapping, and damping for the Active Damping System.
The Vantage V8 returns EPA-estimated mileage of 18 mpg city, 25 mpg highway, and 21 mpg combined. A 360-degree camera comes as standard equipment on the Vantage, and other standard safety features include parking sensors, and parking distance display on the main infotainment screen. An available Tech Pack adds blind-spot monitoring and automatic parking assist along with a touchpad, keyless entry, and glass switches.
The 2019 Aston Martin Vantage has a starting price of $149,995. This world-class sports car is on sale now, and deliveries will start in the second quarter of 2018.
