2018 GMC Terrain Reviews, Pricing & Specs

Expert review
For years, bold and boxy styling has defined the otherwise unremarkable GMC Terrain. Now a conservatively redesigned 2018 Terrain arrives, and it could easily find itself crossed off consumers’ consideration lists for this and many other reasons.
Proving that a yummy-looking recipe can produce a yucky-tasting meal, the 2018 GMC Terrain is a conceptually appealing compact crossover SUV that falls apart under scrutiny in the reality of daylight. Not only that, it has lost the rugged look that used to set it apart from softer-styled competitors, and it doesn’t meet safety expectations for a brand-new design. Add a questionable value equation, and it’s difficult to recommend a GMC Terrain.

What owners say
"Overall, owners of the 2018 GMC Terrain have a positive view of this vehicle, appreciating its comfort, spaciousness, and the variety of features available, especially in higher trim levels. Many found it to be smooth and enjoyable to drive, particularly the 2.0L turbo engine. However, some reviewers noted concerns about brake sensitivity, a lack of power in certain situations, and some pricing issues."
It’s the Denali so it has everything you need plus more. Only thing that would make it better would be a V6 but this 2.0 turbo has major get up and go.
March 21, 2021The car is amazing and of great value. We purchased this vehicle for under the market value and it is in excellent condition. I did a thorough walk around and probably looked like an idiot looking for the smallest dents and scratches. The vehicle has great options, panoramic roof and good quality materials, especially for the price. What a steal my wife got!!!!
May 15, 2020This car exceeded my highest expectations. Very nice ride, appropriate amount of room and has a very sporty feel. Has a lot of extra features that make it over all a very nice care. The push gear buttons will take some time to get use to but over all very very cool.

May 6, 2020I like the car, but the brakes are a little sensitive and the pick-up (from a stop) can be jerky. Otherwise, it is smooth, comfortable, and a quiet ride.
January 24, 2020Absolutely love this small SUV. More room inside than you thunk. My teenage boys are 6ft and have plenty of room for them and their sports gear.
January 18, 2023Its a wonderful car the 2.0L turbo has plenty of power very Comfortable to drive.
August 26, 2021I bought the SLT Model so it does have all the bells and whistles: Leather seats, sun/moon roof, navigation ..., all of which I thoroughly enjoy. I havent had a lot of drive time on it yet but I do like the look and feel.
