2018 Chevrolet Equinox Reviews, Pricing & Specs

The CarGurus verdict
Chevrolet sanitizes the 2018 Equinox for your protection, but in the process erases what personality it may have exhibited otherwise.
For more than a decade, Chevy has positioned the Equinox in the space between compact and midsize crossovers, mixing generous seating room for people with somewhat restricted space for cargo. Marking a shift in strategy, the redesigned 2018 Equinox is actually smaller in almost every way, putting it squarely into competition with other compact SUVs. Does the new Chevy Equinox have the talent and skill set to take on the best vehicles in the segment?

What owners say
"Overall, owners really appreciate the 2018 Chevrolet Equinox for its comfortable ride, spacious interior, and good fuel economy. Many drivers noted the upgrades from earlier models, especially the turbo engine, which provides better power and efficiency. However, some people mentioned missing features like a sunroof and raised concerns about engine reliability."
Comfortable interior with user-friendly infotainment system (Apple CarPlay, Android Auto) Good cargo space for the class Variety of safety features (like forward collision alert, lane keep assist on higher trims) Multiple engine options (including a turbocharged 4-cylinder) Available all-wheel drive Value: The Equinox tends to offer solid value in the compact SUV segment with a reasonable starting price and decent fuel economy. It’s practical for daily driving and small families. What it might be missing: Not as sporty or powerful as some competitors Interior materials on base trims can feel a bit cheap compared to rivals Some rivals offer more advanced safety tech as standard

June 12, 2023Love the size and ride of this car, nice sunroof too
November 9, 2023I absolutely love my equinox. The seat fits me so well, everything on the dash is easily reachable while driving. My side mirrors have light up sensors when another car is in my blind spot. I really enjoy the heated seats, and they heat up fast. The back cargo area is plenty large enough for packing all of my work equipment. The back seats are spacious enough for my kids. The center console is big and has great storage capacity. Cannot beat the gas mileage especially with today’s gas prices! All in all I’m very happy with this vehicle!

November 28, 2020In my opinion the Chevrolet Equinox is a great upgrade from its previous generation. Great on fuel economy very efficient interior enough power to fit my needs. I also believe that Chevrolet. Did not leave much to desired on a mid sizes suv. In comparison to the over price CR-V or Highlander nicely done Chevy nicely done....
October 4, 2020Its great American made car and very reliable and I would compare it to the Ford Explorer
March 13, 2020Vehicle was for my wife. She had a 2013 Equinox LTZ and loved her car. With that she had some pretty specific requirements and this 2018 Equinox Premier met those requirements and more. Drives great, turbo charger really gives it some pep when needed. She loves having the sun/moon roof and the rear console air vents that she had back in her 2006 Trailblazer.
