Bias disclosure: My family has 5+ individuals who've worked for Ford over 30 years. I'm an Engineer who has worked at another car manufacturer and still work in the automotive industry (exterior lighting). That being said this vehicle has only needed replacement tires, one set of brake pads up front, one left rear tail bulb and oil changes to keep it running for 90,000 miles. Compared to my previous car, a 1997 Lincoln Continental, the Fusion has been equally, if not more, trouble free. And it averages 35 mpg versus 20.6 mpg for the Continental. That has saved over $6000 in gas over 90k miles. Other than wanting to own a plug-in capable Crossover/SUV/small Crew cab pickup, I'm not sure why we would buy a different car. In fact we plan to get a Fusion Energi next. I'm not thrilled with the Dealer Service but I'm also not sure there are many options out there for any other brand either.Nov 23, 2014
