The Saab 9-7X lineup expands for 2008 with the addition of the limited-edition Saab 9-7X Aero, a performance version of Saab's European-styled, American-built midsize SUV. The Aero features its own distinctive exterior color, Carbon Flash Metallic, and delivers plenty of power, thanks to a 6.0-liter small-block V8 engine that produces 390 horsepower and plenty of low-end torque.
The Aero also comes equipped with a number of unique features, including Aero-badged leather seats and embossed floor mats, performance-oriented 20-inch wheels, larger brakes for improved stopping capability, Saab-tuned shock absorbers, and a lowered sport-tuned chassis that results in sportier and more responsive handling.
The Aero joins the 4.2i and the 5.3i trims in the 9-7X lineup. All three trims come well-equipped with a wide range of standard features, including automatic all-wheel-drive, heated front seats, a power moonroof, XM satellite radio and OnStar, and the StabiliTrak vehicle stability management system.
The 9-7X borrows a number of its underpinnings from GM, Saab's parent company, but displays distinctive Swedish styling both inside and out, including the unique Saab grille, clean exterior lines, and a leather-and-wood interior. And in keeping with European efficiency, the 9-7X's engines are designed with fuel efficiency as well as performance in mind.
