After a substantial remodelling in 2006, the Suzuki Grand Vitara stayed the same for the most part in '07. The main additions to this compact SUV came in the form of a tire pressure monitor and a computer to track information for your trips. The Grand Vitara comes in either RWD or AWD, has 4 doors, and seats 5. Drivers can choose from 6 trims: AWD or RWD Base, XSport, or Luxury. All 6 use a 2.7 L, 185 hp V6 engine with either 5 speed automatic or manual transmission. Otherwise, the Grand Vitara gives you everything you'd expect from a compact SUV. Standard features include air conditioning, power windows, power door locks, cd player, ABS brakes, traction control, and stability control. Expect around 19 mpg in the city, 23 on the highway. In addition, you'll find 24.4 cubic feet of trunk space and 125.4 cubic feet of passenger space in the Base and XSport trims. Luxury trims have 23.8 cubic feet and 122.9, respectively. Overall, drivers like the roominess and comfort that the Grand Vitara offers. On the other hand, some could do without the somewhat cumbersome keyless start system and others would like a little more power from an SUV. Regardless, Suzuki never intended for you to mistake the '07 Grand Vitara for an Escalade. Value, comfort, and solid handling make this model a good choice for small families.

Overall a great car. It has a 2.0L engine with 150hp. As far as performance is concerned, although you can't call it a slow car, it certainly could have more power. Sometimes when you accelerate, you get the feeling that the car isn't as fast as you would like it to be. However, its handling is very good and easy and this makes driving pretty damn enjoyable. Finally, as a pure off-road vehicle, the Suzuki Grand Vitara is absolutely a beast off-road. Mud, sand, rock, it can handle it. Its build quality is excellent. The materials and the interior give you the impression that this is a very expensive car. It hasn't ever needed any repairs and still feels as new. On the outside, the Suzuki Grand Vitara has a stunning look. Its front is aggressive and sublte, and its back, although it isn't anything much, still looks very damn good. At its price, it's definitely a great choice.

April 13, 2011I love this little SUV. It gets decent mileage and has all the room we need. We compared this to the Ford Escape and the Chevrolet Equinox and ultimately chose the Suzuki because it has more bang for the buck. I love the luxury features that it came with and my only gripe is that they don't offer a 2hi/4hi/4lo transfer case it is either 2 wheel drive (rear at least) or 4x4 with 4hi/4lo transfer case.

August 24, 2008This car was reliable and practical. It is also fun and comfortable. It gets great gas mileage for the size. It has a lot of trunk space. This car is wonderful at accelerating and handling. It even handles minimum off-road driving well for a two-wheel drive.
April 25, 2014Very comfortable, good looking car. Great for moving around town in. A/C is great and there is adequate room for the groceries. The fact that it is underpowered helps my wife stay out of trouble ;) Great value for money.
