Lexus introduced the GS 350 in the 2007 model year as a replacement for the GS 300, which had been continuously produced from the 1993 to the 2006 model year. The car got a newly designed, 3.5 liter engine that produced 272 horsepower - a 27 point jump from the 3.0 liter GS 300.
Like its predecessor, the GS 350 is a six cylinder engine, but Lexus seems to have eliminated some of the "sluggishness" that plagued the GS 300 for most of its tenure. Namely, the GS 350 had "fast acceleration" and a "smooth, quiet ride."
"Before you know it you are driving 85 and you feel like you're driving 60," wrote one owner. Interior and comfort features all got high marks from owners.

Fantastic car! Mine has 200k miles with only the battery and alternator being replaced. It has everything you need and Lexus at the time did everything brilliantly. Definitely a 10/10! Only cons is the engine takes awhile to heat up and give you power and the exhaust system has some issues such as randomly having a hole by the muffler. Other than that car doesn’t really rust even though the car has been through snow storms and heavy weather conditions, it is fantastic. Lastly , the GS only takes premium but I’ve been putting regular and car still goes like hell!Jan 09, 2024

The car was in excellent condition and had very limited usage. Overall, value was good and entire process was professional.
The only problem was the technology for the year 2008 is significantly different from now.Aug 02, 2021

For the 2006, Lexus made a major redesign of the GS line, allowing the 3rd generation to be born. I am very happy with the results. In 07', the GS 300 is replaced by the GS 350, in which the new 3.5L V6 engine produces a formidable 303 horses and 274 lb-ft of torque. The GS 350 delivers the power so smooth that the driver will not even feel that it is accelerating. The interior is also very elegantly designed and I especially liked the Gray Leather w/ Bird Eye Maple Wood Trim. Even though Lexus claims that the GS is a sports sedan, it's handling department still needs major work. However, its comfortable ride, roominess, and great seats compensates for its shortfalls. Keyless entry and keyless start comes standard on the car, which is very useful when you don't have an extra hand to press the "unlock button." Overall, this is a great and comfortable mid-sized luxury sedan; but if you want the driving fun, you're better off finding it in the German department.Oct 22, 2011

It has a strong and powerful take off but it's suspension can be stiffer. But for stop and go traffic, it provides a nice balance of performance and comfort.
It is so quiet, you start hearing small squeaks here and there but it's only a complaint a lexus owner can make.
The awesome Mark Levinson audio system makes sitting in traffic a lot more pleasant.Dec 29, 2009

Like buttah on the open road when I am spinnin' my dubs. This machine puts those so called "German engineered" cars to shame! The knight rider (it is black on black) handles, accelerates, brakes, and cruises like a sports car. Buy one today!Feb 07, 2009

the best car i have ever driven. Its very powerful and has a quick launch. It rides very smooth. I put it in sport mode and tested the 0-60. IT WAS AMAZING!!! Its not a cheaply built car. you can tell that a lot of heart and soul went into the makinging of the Lexus GS 350. Gas milage is 21 city, 29 highway. It is an extremely fun car to drive.

My car is awesome. It gets great gas mileage for a v6 with over 300 hp. It's quick and nimble for a four door sedan.Jun 23, 2008

I have a 2007 Lexus vs350. The car was involved in a flood situation. The problem that I am having is the door keep operating until the battery is dead. Is the problem with the computer or what? I have too jump the every time I try to use the car.
I own a 2007 Lexus GS350 with 185000 miles on it. It runs beautifully with a great amount of power. Besides the smoke that billows out it runs like a champ. I usually avoid the clouds of smoke by dropping my transmission into Neutral when coasting downhill then put it back into gear just when I am ready to apply pressure to the accelerator. If I don't do this, it will blow out massive amounts of smoke. I have taken it to a repair shop and they said the number 5 head gasket was leaking and it needed a valve seal job. $4500 later and it still smokes. They did the same job twice and it still smokes. Now they turn me away and say they are done working on my car, so I had to pursue legal assistance. Does anyone have an idea of what the actual issue could be?
Change rotors and brakes all the way around, end up changing a caliper on drivers side rear but all of a sudden when putting it in drive or reverse. The car wheels are dragging like something is holding it. Checked spin seems very hard when jacked up. Bleed brakes, that seem to loosen them. Tried driving again and the same thing? What did I do if it was working fine before?
