The Chevrolet Silverado 1500 SS switched to rear wheel drive and got new brakes for its final year of production. The second fastest domestic pickup truck comes in one trim that has 4 doors and seats 6. In addition, the Silverado 1500 SS sports a powerful 6.0 L, 345 hp V8 powertrain.
Gas mileage comes out to 14 mpg in the city and 19 on the highway. The '06 Silverado 1500 SS has 57 cubic feet of cargo space. Perhaps most importantly, the rugged pickup can tow up to 7800 lbs.
In the end, critics say that the Silverado 1500 SS just doesn't measure up to the Ram SRT-10. However, the SS stands for Super Sport and this capable pickup lives up to the name with its solid towing capacity. The '06 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 SS would make an impressive acquisition for anyone in the market for a top domestic pickup truck.

Its called the Intimidator because its a Dale Earnhardt edition silverado 1500 ss.... it has 495 hp, and 495 torque. its mad comfy and has an awesome bose stereo. im hopin to put bigger subs under the back seats if i can get the money.... also... supercharger? turbo? mmmmmJul 09, 2008
