Cadillac decided to add a high-performance convertible to the XLR lineup with the 2006 XLR-V. While the XLR uses a 4.6 L, 320 hp V8 engine, the XLR-V has a 4.4 L, 443 hp V8 with 6 speed automatic transmission. The XLR-V comes in 1 trim and has 2 doors with room for 2 passengers.
Gas mileage comes out to 15 mpg in the city and 22 on the highway. Standard features generally match those in the XLR with air conditioning, power windows, power door locks, power/leather seats, cd player, navigation system, ABS brakes, traction control, and stability control. The XLR-V goes from 0-60 mph in under 5 seconds.
Overall, drivers love the XLR-V's power and sleek design. However, interior room can get a bit cramped for larger drivers and critics would like to see a little more than 11.6 cubic feet of cargo space. If you're willing to shell out a little extra for the power increase from the XLR, the XLR-V provides a tight ride that makes a welcome break from Cadillac's more elegant sedans.

Like everything about this car. All the features are unbelievable. This car has better features than the Audi R8. Everything from the automatic tilt/telescopic steering wheel to the push button retractible hard top, to the halo gram that shows your speed in the windshield!!Dec 28, 2013

I bought the car 11/15/09 it has only 15348 miles on it. I paid $36,000 for the car. The dealer had the car certified with the 6 year 100,000 warrenty. It sold new May 8 2006 for $101,000... I cant believe how great this car is to drive. I traded in a 2005 Corvette, now is the time to buy a USED XLR VDec 15, 2009
