Truly a pleasure to drive. Possibly the smoothest ride i have ever driven. 6 speed manual with this 8 cylinder is just pure joy especially for me as i live in the country and have amazing rodes to have fun on. A bit of a gas guzzler with only 13 mpg in the city and using premium only. Jan 17, 2023

I ended up buying this car :) however after the dealership spent a grand to replace the right headlight, it worked fine until two days later when it rained and noticed that the headlight wasn’t sealed properly and water went inside and then now the headlight isn’t working anymore again. But other than that the car is so good! May 30, 2022

Hugs the road and power when u need it car slides as a whole so you dont have to worry about the ass end coming loose great driving experience if you like to drive fast only downfall is you cant hang with the big boy cars not enough HP

2006 BMW 650i Convertible . There are plenty of things that BMW could have done at the factory to make this car a five star, 400,000 mile car, but they didnt. The 4.6 liter V-8 WILL NEED valve seals at some point, which is a major expense. I pulled the engine out to do it, and spent $4,500 at an indy shop, and another $4,000 doing preemptive work like resealing the entire engine, new A/C compressor, smog pump, etc., and I replaced a few other components just because the engine was on the floor. After that, I replaced both front and rear suspension...anything with rubber on it, and shocks all around....another $4,000. Would I do it again? Probably, because the car I like the car, it is super clean, and I am not planning on selling it. If I was looking for a reliable turnkey car, I probably would have passed on this Beemer and bought a domestic. Bought it with 69,000, now at 162,000, and everything is great. Total investment including purchase five years ago, about $30k. New ones are almost $100k.Sep 02, 2021

A great car with performance, power and style. When you let down the convertible, turn on the music and ride down the highway with you music playing, there is no better feeling. It is definitely a head turner when you pull up to a light.Nov 22, 2014

BMW's 6 series convertible monster produce 360HP and 360lb-torque. Amazing handling, steering wheel and gear ratio. Unique Head-up Display menu and night vision give you better control on night drives. Only missing thing about this car is rear sitting space.Nov 13, 2014

I've always wanted to own a 6 series. After test driving one, I was sold. I couldn't believe how well it drove and how quick it was off the line. Gas mileage was great on it for a sports coupe. I normally got around 430 miles in the city on a tank of gas. Aug 02, 2014

The whole package is nice. It does everything well. Being a ragtop you'd think it might be noisy, but it's so, so quiet it baffled me every time I drove it. The engine is very torquey with a nice rumble and on the highway it's like you're riding on air, but it turns so flat in corners it makes you wonder what else is possible with newer technology.
The top takes 18 seconds to deploy, I wish it were faster but that's pretty good overall.
Maintenance wasn't ridiculous. I've owned several BMW's and it wasn't any more for this car than my M3, 530i, or X5. Service intervals are few when the car isn't a daily driver though.Jun 03, 2013

BMW is the ultimate driving machine. This SUV drives like any other BMW. Handles great. The steering wheel is responsive and it has great acceleration for a SUV. The storage area in the back could be a little bigger, but it's small SUV. This is normal.Feb 27, 2013

Car was nice, run flats get expensive after time....power was consistent, loved
the steering wheel warmer and the climate control options... the convertible top
had 1 issue with it, but was fixed under warranty... better that the car was in
California, so top could be down often... loved the transmission and Manual / sport

It is simply the best I had to date!!! Smooth but yet powerful. Stylish looks but not snobbish!! Now need to improve...hum!??!? What could one want after this convertible. Another convertible, for sure! Just wait and see, the man will shall return!

strong built car, no mech issues at all
interior is nice, comfy leather, stands out amongst other cars
IDrive is a little stupid and slow...
bridgestone tires are lame, fail too much

Amazing to drive. Sticks to the rode without feeling like the car will slip and there's always power when you need it, maybe more than enough. Like every BMW the brakes stop on a dime and if youre not carfull you will be jolted to the front of the car from the force of the brakes. The same can be said for stepping on the gas. With pressing the pedal even halfway, the car throws you back in the seat and takes off, while the rpms read no more than 3500. The engine barely has to work. Switch it to manual shift mode and you will easliy reach 60 in first gear, not that it doesnt shift well automatically.Jan 28, 2009

I am just learning the car, but it is extremely smooth corners wonderfully, the acceleration is perfect. I particularly like the seating, it is firm and supportive. The premium sound system is amazing. The sleek styling, especially with the top down is second to none. I am having some trouble with the navigation and overall car settings, but I guess that I just need to spend some more time learning. Jul 27, 2007

i think the motor mechanism has broke on my 2007 630i convertable.hence the roof just clicks and wont come down or lock properly.ive tried the allen key and its not budging..how else can i access the front motor? without damaging int panels
