Have 05 Golf GTI and yesterday my turn signals, headlights, Rear defrost, heated seats, and my fan for my heat stop working CAN SOMEONE PLZ HELP ME TO KNOW WTH HAPPEN OR WHAT THE PROBLEM MAY BE

With the Volkswagen GTI scheduled for a redesign in 2006, VW made no changes to the vehicle for the 2005 model year. It was still available in two popular trim packages. The 1.8T base model was equipped with a turbocharged 180-horsepower, 1.8-liter 4-cylinder engine that was linked to a five-speed manual transmission (a five-speed automatic was optional). Kicking things up a notch was the GTI VR6, which came with a 2.8-liter six-cylinder engine that generated 200 horsepower. It was linked to a six-speed manual transmission.
Standard features included anti-lock brakes, a CD player, air conditioning, power windows, remote power door locks, power exterior mirrors, cruise control, a tilt/telescopic steering column, keyless remote entry, traction control, and an anti-theft alarm system. Options included a power sunroof, heated front seats, and a CD changer. The VR6 also came with a stability control system, which was optional on the 1.8T. Leather seats, a power sunroof, and a CD changer were among the options.
The GTI's acceleration, handling, styling, and safety features were cited as positive points by drivers. The car was also considered a good value by many drivers, who note that they received good deals on the car, especially with a redesign scheduled for the following year.

This is a great car for someone just starting to drive or someone who is looking to start/refresh their automotive maintenance skills. This car seems to start losing points in the fuel economy area, once you begin to travel over 70 MPH. Not sure if that's due to the high-running RPM's of the engine at that speed or just my driving habits.Nov 24, 2011

Love the way it handles, brakes, steers. Overall great car. Few minor
cosmetic issues inside. Nothing to complain about overall. Great gas
mileage and torque. This car is great for a single person or small family.

Absolutely brilliant build quality that only the Germans can offer. Loads of torque from the turbocharged straight-4. Shiftable automatic gearbox with five forward speed. Sometimes I feel the it could benefit from a sixth gear, but being that it is tuned for performance, it will naturally have shorter gears. Very fast car, and will get to 155MPH easily. And when your doing that speed, you don't worry cause the handing is very good.Dec 06, 2009

Well put together car.Tranny is smooth as silk, which is rare in a manual 4cyl. Gas mileage is respectable. Turbo spools quickly and gets the car moving at a good pace. Over-all drive is fun. Interior quality is excellent for the price. BMW type feel.Oct 02, 2009

i bought this car a few months ago, it was one of the best decisions ive made...it had higher mileage but its nothing for a volkwagen...the car handles very well and is extremely fun to drive. performance wise there could be more there but for a turbo 1.8l the car is very quick, its also amazing on gas (if your good with the pedal that is)Sep 06, 2009

Could use a few more horses. Transmission is the smoothest i've driven yet. Huge aftermarket for parts. Planning on an APR chip, FMIC, Turbo Back exhaust, Forge Diverter Valve for the time being. Can't wait to auto cross this car.Sep 03, 2009

Ideal car for the petrolhead with a family, does the school run and has plenty of room for the shopping, cheapest of the current hot hatches to tax and insure and goes like absolute snot when you put your foot down (this ones been remapped to approx 240hp with uprated brakes and performance filter). Car has famous vw reliability and build quality and will hold its value better than other makes. I keep making excuses to drive it and I can't think of anything else that I could replace it with, but then why would I?Jul 10, 2009

the volkswagon GTI is the most compact and sporty car in its class. you would zooom through the highway in tight corners the GTI has good handling and acceleration. the car is fun to drive on several occasions. it has to 2 door look with 2 seats in the front ant 2 more seats in the back i would truly suggest this car for younger people looking for speed at a low cost. you could hook up the car in many ways. the best car to buy!Jul 03, 2008

Gti spraying out oil
I just got a 2005 vw gti with the1.8t engine, it has an upgraded turbo. when we drive it and make any boost oil sprays all onto the underneath of the hood it seems to be coming out of the oil filler cap, but the seal looks good on that. we tried turning it on and revving it with the hood open, but nothing sprayed out. took it for a ride then popped the hood and there was more oil sprayed on the hood and looked around oil filler cap. i also checked dipstick and it still seems to be full like it hasn’t lost much oil. why could it be doing this?

Got a 2005 Golf Gti with a lot of shaking after 60mph. Comes from the front for sure but cant tell where. I replaced every part of the steering system and brakes as well about 6 months ago. Im thinking it may be the CV axle? help

Why dose my car suddenly stall/die in hot temprature weather?
Recently the weather warmed up where I live and my car has been dieing on me when I drive out during the day when it's hot out. It does not do it in the morning or evenings. CEL is not on. It dies and it won't start for about 5 minutes after it starts the engine runs fine. Do you have any idea what it could be? I replaced the battery and spark plugs 2 weeks ago. Do you think that it could be the coils?
