Ever since the Element was first introduced, there has been a discrepancy between "expert" opinion of this car and the owner evaluations. The 2005 Honda Element is no exception.
Experts don't like the outside design, while drivers think it is sporty looking. Everyone agrees, however, that it has lived-up to the Honda legacy which, of course, is affordability, reliability, and great economy. It's also easy to drive, dependable, and practical.
At $16,600 to $18,500, it certainly is much less expensive than other SUVs.
Battery goes completely dead after 6-7 days of vehicle sitting. It is not the battery. I can't figure out what is causing the battery to drain.
I have a 2005 Honda element. The battery goes dead after sitting for even short periods of time, like even a day. I believe it is underhood fuse circuit #9. what does that power? thanks
We took the 05 Honda Element off roading and are now coming into some serious issues with it wobbling. It goes away on long curves but any strait away over 45 and it shakes like crazy. I think I see at least part of the problem from under the hood... The bolt to the top of the strut? is crooked and clicks in and out when I shake the car back and forth
The A\C is not blowing out cold air but the fan kicks on. The fuse is not bad. I tried to recharge it and the Freon was full. It stopped working one day and started to push out a little bit of cool are on A\C max and has no longer worked since the fan still works, the heat, and the compressor still kicks on. Not sure what it could be.
After dealer performed Takata air bag recall, HVAC is inoperative, they said they are not responsible.
