I have a 2005 cadillac STS and it will not start. the interior lights above comes on.
I tried to crank my 2005 STS and it will not start. The battery has been checked the fuses under the hood and inside the car.

Condition is critical. Make certain the timing chain was replaced at 100-120,000 miles and the differential does not clunk when going from reverse to drive. If it does repair could be under $100 for bushing or over $850 for seals and repairs Jan 09, 2022

What I love about this car is the power behind it... with 325 horses under the hood and a Volant cold air intake, you will be sure to get off the line quick! I also love using the manumatic feature and using it as a standard without the hassle of having to press down the clutch every 30 seconds. This car is very fun to drive and it still turns heads when it drives by. Highway driving couldn't be more smooth and relaxing. Almost feels like you're driving on a cloud with pillows surrounding you. The handling and performance is excellent and in the 7 years I've owned one it has never been in the shop for any major issues, just routine maintenance. A great buy.Oct 04, 2012

I bought this car based on its looks and navigation system, the ride and the quality were excellent additions. I love the car, I love the stereo and I love the way it looks when it is washed and waxed. I have had $3500 dollars worth of radio's, subwoofers and amplifiers in past cars. * Performance - acceleration, braking, handling - Perfect!
* Build Quality - has it needed repairs? squeaks/rattles - Fixed alot of the front end problems from the STS in the 90's (yes this is my second one)
* Appearance - both interior and exterior styling - I think it looks awesome
* Cost of Ownership - gas mileage, maintenance - This car has cost me alot of money, but not the car's fault, it would be kids

This car is a very classy car with some performance numbers that would put a crown vic to shame. I don't know what to think if all other sedans make this thing look good or if this thing makes them look bad. I got one of these on an entrance ramp with my dad and it was at 90 mph before we started to merge into traffic. How you ask well its all in the powerplant for this classy well behaved beast. Cadillac doesn't need too much words. It looks like an UFO, you feel the power. You can spinning even TCS on. you must turn TCS on when you are driving wet or dirt roads if not it is not easy to control. There is everything what you need inside of the STS but it is drinking gas and you should think about the taxes if you are living in Turkey or the country takes expensive taxes for V8 engines.Sep 19, 2009

The car could easily take part in the Fast and the Furious. While no repairs have been needed, the build quality inside looks kind of cheap for a 50K+ MSRP. Some trim parts look like cheap plastic. Otherwise, interior and exterior styling is on or above par. When compared to my Eldorado, city MPG for this car is around 20.5; I have not had a chance to test highway MPG but I'm guessing it'll be in the upper 20's given my driving habits. This car blends the best all worlds, comfort, performance, economy, quality, reliability, beauty, and prestige all wrapped in an American product.
Performance is solid and strong, yet still returns decent fuel economy of about 22 MPG in mixed driving. The interior is luxurious, quiet (except for some tire rumble), very comfortable and well laid out.
The elegant exterior is a color called Moonstone Metallic, a charcoal dark gray that shifts depending on the light. Just pure eye candy!
Oh and lets not forget absolutely amazing Cadillac service and care, you are treated with great respect and make you feel like a king. Worth the extra cost alone!
Overall it makes this car an excellent value in my opinion. After three years, I am still highly satisfied and will only replace with another Caddy in the future!

Performace was awsome. Build was great. Appearance was very nice. Ownership was ok. And it was very fun to drive. It was a 2000 model and I baught it in 2007, it had a couple of problems, it was very sporty, but I mainly got rid of it because it was to small and I was use to the 1998 Deville I had. only con I've found is that the NorthStar loves to go
