Heater problem
My heater is only working on passenger side. The middle console and the driver side are given cool air. Is it a door actuator problem ? If yes, is the part located above the fuel pedal?

The main changes for the Cadillac CTS in 2005 came in the powertrain. First off, Cadillac actually downgraded the standard engine to a 2.8 L, 210 hp V6 engine. On the other hand, the CTS got a new 3.6 L trim featuring a 3.6 L, 255 hp V6 engine. Both the 2.8 L and 3.6 L trims have standard 6 speed manual transmission and optional 5 speed automatic.
The 2005 Cadillac CTS has 4 doors, seats 5, and gets 17 mpg in the city and 27 on the highway. Standard features in both trims include air conditioning, power door locks, power windows, power seats, cd player, ABS brakes, and traction control. Shell out a little extra and you'll get stability control and a sunroof.
Overall, reviewers applaud the introduction of the powerful new 3.6 L V6 engine. They also like the roomy interior and solid handling. However, the larger frame detracts a little from the ride. More importantly, experts say that the CTS just doesn't quite measure up to its overseas competition in the sport sedan market. In any event, consider the 2005 Cadillac CTS a solid domestic model with room to grow.

I love this car, it's reliable, the 2.8l engine is powerful and it has a smooth ride, i put 270,000 miles on it and it's still holding up. Although it's American made that's the only drawback, they don't hold their value.Mar 12, 2015

this 2005 Cadillac CTS is the car i always wanted just don't like the color its an Olive green color.. what I don't like is that rust spot by the right rear tire. my car drives and runs great!!! happySep 02, 2014

Love the performance and experience. I especially enjoy driving this car in traffic or on the freeway, as the ride is so smooth and effortless. This car is not for those with large families, as the back seat does not provide a ton of space, but still can seat 4 quite comfortably. I would recommend this for those who want to have a car that gets from A to B with some flair.Apr 25, 2013

I like this car and the only thing I have had to do to this car is change the oil. It is a bit expensive being only synthetic oil. The water pump is leaking lightly, but still going strong. I like this car but I could use some more room. I have put over 30k on it in two years and nothing has gone wrong. It runs like a top. The parts are very expensive to replace!Jan 13, 2012

This car handles and drives like a sports car and with the six speed
manual transmission its also fun, I also like how its quit on the highway
and great fuel mileage to boot. I will be buying another Cadillac in the

Has a great interior. The most comfortable drive and front passenger seat I have been in. It has a 0-60 around 6 seconds w/ the intake, in sport mode, w/ traction control off. It performs liked the BMW 330 and G35 and was less expensive than both. and has a much better reliability rating the 330 . It is the same price as cars liek the A4, VWs etc. yet just blows them out of the water. It does handle a little floaty at times but still has a decent suspension and is made more like a luxury sedan but has the engine of a sport sedan. Some things are questionable on it like the front and rear bumper being a plastic albeit a higher quality one but still plastic. I guess if I get hit it will be cheaper to replace. Also looks unique without looking too corny. The core components are built very well but some of the non essentials could have been built a little better.Aug 13, 2009

Good acceleration, fair braking, good handling.
Fair build quality (transmission will need work soon @ 50k miles)
Good exterior styling, fair interior styling (a little too much plastic)
Suprisingly good gas mileage (25MGP average 40%City/60%HWY). Brakes needs regular attention.

I love the engine. It goes 0-60 in just 4.7 secs. Its also a v6 which does mean it has good mileage. It gives about 18 to 22 mpg, so its nice and affordable. I've had the best time in my life when I drove it for the first time. 2005 Cadillac CTS theft system
Hello, I have a 2005 Cadillac CTS, and the key is stuck in the ignition, the engine won’t crank, there is a red light in the mirror. After the key is turned to “on” for about a minute, the “ service theft system “ shows up on the screen. I am able to remove the key with the release button under the steering wheel though. We were in the middle of installing new door speakers, when our n ugh or walked over and asked for a ride to pick up vehicle, the car had turned into theft mode once we started it. But on the way back, we realized the fuel pump had been turned off as well, later on now after several attempts to fixing it, it won’t even start. Please help, and thank you

can I install a ECM module on my own?
If i buy a ECM module from Orielly's they say if I give them VIN# and part# off ECM it will be programmed and I can install it ready to go. Is this correct or do I need to take it to a Cadillac dealer to get programmed?please respond and thank you very much

2005 cts key stuck in cylinder and wont crank over
The keys get stuck in the key cylinder and wont crank over the motor but when I pull out the starter relay and by pass it real quick the motor Wil turn over and the key will come out any suggestions on why this is happening
