The 2004 Nissan Altima is unchanged for the model year.
The 2004 Altima came in four trims: the base model, the midrange S, the plush SL, and the top-of-the-line SE. The SE came standard with a 3.5-liter, 240-horsepower V6, and the others had a 2.5-liter, 175-horsepower four cylinder engine. All models came with a folding rear seat, power doors, and a tilting steering wheel. Upgrading to the S got air conditioning, cruise control, remote keyless entry, and a CD player. The SL included a power driver's seat and an upgraded sound system. Upgrading to the SE got the bigger engine, foglamps, and bigger wheels.
Drivers praise the 2004 Altima for its acceleration, looks, and reliability. Some owners complain that the seats are uncomfortable, and some complain that it is noisy.

The 2004 Nissan Altima is a very great car on gas. it is a 4 cylinder. This car can be used as family or individual. It has a very good shape on the outside. In general it is a great car.May 11, 2015

Great fuel economy, fits me and all my friends, space for a big dog too if you have one! Easy to clean, easy to maintain, parts are inexpensive, overall amazing car. This one personally needed a little TLC when I got it, but it's been perfect ever since I've put all the work in.
Only downside I can see is that it lacks in power and it doesn't come in a manual transmission. And the black interior holds a bit too much heat, but you can solve that easily. I'm just cheap and don't want to spend that money.Apr 10, 2015

I liked how comfortable this car is to drive. It's very fast for its age and has a lot of room for passengers and trunk space. I don't have to fill up on gas very often which is also very nice.Feb 22, 2015

Overall this has been a great vechicle to me. Treat it well and it'll last you a while. Great for road trips if you don't mind spending a little more on gas. It'll seat 5 people, with leg room, which makes it great for long road trips. Easy to drive and handle. Just be careful and keep in mind its light weight. i love how sleek the car looks, as well as the size. i wish the seats were leather. its great on gas, 4-cyl engine, but it doesnt have the punch of a 6-cyl. i want that. maintenance on the car is definitely affordable, just a painFeb 20, 2009

Most powerful 4 cylinder sedan I've ever driven. Acceleration feels better than most late 90s model V6's. Handling is great but torque steer is a bit out of control so for all you race enthusiasts out there, hold on to the steering wheel. This car looks great and is fun to drive, without spending too much at the gas pump.Aug 27, 2008

We were looking for something used, and found the car at a trustworthy dealership (we have purchased all of our vehicles there for some time) The Altima, after doing our homework, proved to be what we were looking for. It's a great ride. New tires were expensive, but one would expect that. It has great pickup, a safe car,the engine is perfect forthe size of the vehicle. We're getting 30-32 miles highway (@65-70) and around 27 in town. May 22, 2008

VQ35 - what else could you ask for? Award winning for the past 10 years!. Used on Nissan Altimas, Maximas, Muranos, 350Z, G35, M35, FX35, EX35. Why wouldn't Nissan/Infiniti do this with such a reliable motor? The Altima 3.5SE is packed with features and without a doubt a powerful motor that can hold its own on the road. The room doesn't fall short of your needs no matter who is in your car. The torque is awesome. Full load and no problems! Love my nissan!Apr 27, 2008

Test drove this car before buying my G35. If you are considering this car, skip the manual gearbox and go with the automatic version. This car is meant to be a family car with a large interior. Lots of leg room in the back seats. Huge trunk space. Visibility is one of the best of all the car I have driven. The ride is very comfortable. Powerful V6 engine.Mar 20, 2008

Loved it when I had rims on. 20" really look amazing on there and give the car great handling. Once the rims were off, handling was not all that great anymore.
