my car was sitting in hot sun for eight hours I went to drive it put the a/c on high drove it for about ten minutes then the car just shuts down/off while driving on the highway. What cause this was it too much pull on the car since it had been sitting in the hot sun???
I had a bad speedometer cluster (lights went out) and replaced it with a used one off ebay. The new one worked and lights were all OK, but the speed meter was not working (the pointer was not moving when I drove the car). Does anyone know if this kind of repair requires additional programming by the dealer to get the speed gauge to work or not? Frankly, I believe the new unit comes with bad meter. Can anyone share their thoughts? Thanks
All of a sudden the lights of all gauges went out in the dashboard (instrument cluster). However, other lights still work light check engine light, transmission P, D, N, R lights, ABS and all other lights. I checked the switch that dims the dashboard light and it is good. I checked the fuses. Replaced a bad tail bulb. Still lights are not working.
Is 134,000 miles too many to pay 3500 for?
just filled up gas and drove to the market a few yards away. i returned to my car after about 15 minutes and car wouldn't start. the engine cranked fine but wouldn't start. waited for a minute and tried starting it again. it started but took a while cranking before actually starting. once the car started i noticed the service engine light on, the TCS off light stayed on, and SLIP light stayed on too. the car seems to run fine, doesn't seem to miss or anything. so i returned home and took another car to finish shopping. when i returned home tried starting my car again, but this time it wouldn't start at all. but it turns over fine so i know its not the battery. also, absolutely never had any problems of any sort prior to today. even before leaving home to go shopping today the car started fine. and just had the car serviced about 1.5 months ago. DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT THIS MIGHT BE?
