nothing I dislike best vehicle I have owned has 158,000 miles on it and still going strong only routine maintenance required. Very comfortable to drive excellent handling not in the shop very often plenty of get up and go. I have owned it for 8 years and it has by far been the best vehicle on all levels since I bought it. Of course because it has 8 cylinders it has been tough to keep filled with gas since the tremendous price increases on fuel but the overall dependability cancel that out as far as I am concernedApr 19, 2014

I think its a very comfortable, Good looking car. runs great. nice options. Not great on mpg. I really like the looks of the car. Has great stereo, with built in DVD in the back. Carries groceries as well as some building materials. Recently test drove an FX 35, Infinity 03. I like my Mercury better! More power, approximately the same options and a lot more room. This is a AWD V8. It was bought to use a the all around car. Gas mileage is around 19 mpg. The interior is a little rough. The exterior is great.
The engine is the 4.6L V8 which give it the get up an go.Mar 29, 2011

This is a AWD V8. It was bought to use a the all around car. Gas mileage is around 19 mpg. The interior is a little rough. The exterior is great.

It does very good on gas and mileage,its a V6. Its comfortable and good for a big family vacation without feeling crowded. You have the convience of using the 3rd row or if you need the cargo space putting it down. Its smooth and its like driving an car but its an suvAug 22, 2010

This car is nice and roomy it has plenty of seating for our 5 member family with room to spare it handles good and is comfortable on trips and gets good fuel milage it also has a nice sound system Sep 18, 2009

Hi, my 2003 mercury mountaineer was having the hi temp low oil light coming on, but the oil was fine, it had a little bit of a knock well i trued to drive it home cause it wasnt hot, about 5 miles from my home the knock got louder but everything else seemed fine then the engine died and i cant figure out how to fix it, and im to scared to start it back up but it will start, im a female that doesnt know much about cars and its my only transportation, someone please help

PLEASE!!!! MY baby is overheating help!
I cannot figure out why my car is overeating. I checked my antifreeze and it was empty but it was too hot to put some in last night so I waited til this morning when I went to check it again it was full I'm not sure what happend there but it mostly all looks like water and has no smell so I'm assuming when the guy said he replaced all the fluids in my car he added water to it and then did nothing else because it keeps telling me low oil pressure it's one of the lights that turns on when it rstarts to overheat in fact. It dings and saying something about power to engine and then it says low oil pressure and then the arrow goes above the H. I'm no ot sure what I'm looking for?? Is this a coolant or oil issue?? Or is it something worse all together??
