2002 VW cabrio radiator coolant hose discontinued
Hello! I need to replace the radiator coolant hose (VW part no. 1HM122101B) on my 2002 VW cabrio and it seems this part has been discontinued. Any idea where I can get one? Thanks!

For 2002, its final model year, the Volkswagen Cabrio received only a few minor upgrades, such as the addition of the Reflex Silver exterior color scheme, which was combined with a gray top and a matching gray interior. Other than that, the only other news was an improved four-year, 50,000-mile warranty (up from two years/24,000 miles) and a five-year, 60,000-mile limited powertrain warranty.
Other than that, the Cabrio was still available in three trim packages --- the entry-level GL, the mid-level GLS and the high-end GLX --- all powered by a 2.0-liter, 115-hp engine linked to a five-speed manual overdrive transmission. A four-speed automatic transmission was available as an option for all three packages.
Standard features for the GL package included air conditioning, power door locks, anti-lock brakes, a manually operated drop top, an AM/FM/cassette stereo system, daytime running lights, and front and side airbags. The GLS added power windows, cruise control, and heated seats, while the top-of-the-line GLX added a power convertible top, leather seats, foglights, and new 14-inch wheels.
For the most part, drivers were pleased with their Cabrios, which they thought were fun, sporty, economical, and easy to handle in all kinds of situations. But lingering quality issues plagued the car, according to some drivers, who also complained about high maintenance costs.

Cosmetically, its a nice looking car. Some rust spots here and there that were painted over, and some other unexplained things like foam stuff coming out of the vents, broken glovebox that you cannot open, and random parts/pieces in the car that dont appear to go anywhere..., Would be a decent risk for $2500 or less, but at over $3500..., not sure Id chance it.

we have only had it 2 months, it sat in an estate for over a year. enjoying the good gas mileage of 30 plus. Sound system is awesome even with the top down and 80mph. Only 90K on it so we hope for many fun miles ahead.Oct 17, 2012

, average cost of ownership , expensive labor, hard to find spares, fun car to drive
in summer, leaks between roof and windows, easy to use top configuration ,

This car has great acceleration, very quick and handles well. Only reason for selling was it was difficult to put my grand children in and out of car seats. Parking couldn't have been easier, it was a dream to park. Brakes and handling were very good. It is a fun car to drive.

LOOOOOOOVE IT. this is my first car and i couldn't
have asked for anything better! it's so fun to drive
in the summer and handles great in the winter. tiny
tank but drives far. i love this car to death. there is
112k and paint is in good condition except for a
possible buff on the back left side. heated seats are
amazing and heats up really fast. leather interior.

This Car was fun to have in florida Mine had heated
seat and 6 disc CD changer it was great on gas. It was
a Solid car there were no rattles or wind noise. great
on gas The interior looked a little cheap. it had good

Only problem I've ever had with my car was the roof splitting in the back. My acceleration is great when im shifting sloothly, its sound free...nothing clangs or rattles. the milage is fantastic! I had to replace spark plugs as well. other than that, i love my baby. Its a blast to drive!Dec 31, 2008

If the VIN number starts with a 3, it's made in Mexico, which means the build quality is really bad. Performance? there isn't any. It's really heavy and underpowered. It is good on gas, over 30mpg (the only good thing about it).
There is no fun factor to it, except the top goes down.
I would never buy one. It's not fast, it's not made well. To me, a car is only worth owning if it's either fast, or reliable, or both. Volvos are good...too bad they didn't make a 240 convertible.
Total piece of crap as far as I'm concerned, that's just my opinion.Sep 25, 2008

Im looking at a 2002 Cabrio GLX with lost keys. Can I swap out the Ignition switch and then have dealer program keys after reviewing cars software to the transponder in the key so it works with car?
