Consistently gets 20 miles to the gallon around town and 22-25 on the road. Drives good, hold the road well and is comfortable to drive. It is a very dependable vehicle. We had trouble with overheating, but replaced the radiator and a seal in the engine and it is like new.Jul 26, 2013

This has been a good family car, we have taken it to PA and southern MO. I was able to count on it to commute to college also. The gas mileage seems appropriate for the vehicle. The interior is satisfactory and there is space for a large cooler. We packed this van for several camping trips.Jan 17, 2013

It really is a good vehicle problem us rusty rocker panels that don't matter though cause gas mileage and comfort has it beat it is fast to for a van seats were comfortable the kids loved the DVD player it kept them quite and happyNov 08, 2012

Good van. Family van. Great highway mileage. Holds 8 easy baby seat hook up air bags. 12 volt hook ups front and back. Fold down seats. I want to sell it to buy a motorcycle. Id keep the van if I had a big family but I don't Jun 17, 2012

The position of the motor pretty much eliminates most repairs at home. i can change the oil and service fluids but that is pretty much it. Overall this has been a great vehicle and I prefer it to my wife's 2005 Grand Caravan SE.Sep 10, 2011

Great Transportation love the built in child seat as well very easy to enter and exit the car even if you have handicaps comfortable ride, plenty of room and power to tow and room for eight adults.ad good gas mileage to boot what more would you ask for in a car.

A Muscle car that you can take 6 extra people
in - This Van is really pretty good. we've had
it for a 7 months. fit and finish isn't
like a Lexus, but it's not a Lexus. We
decided to go for the van because a
similar age sedan would have cost us
twice as much to buy and would seat fewer
passengers and wouldn't be that much
lighter on gas. No major problems yet.
the only thing we have noticed is that on
a hot day, with AC on, going uphill,
after a while of driving, the Temp tends
to rise a little too high for comfort,
but we kept it out of the danger zone by
turning on the heat and rolling down the
windows. We got one without all the fancy
stuff (that usually breaks in the first
few years). When you push the gas, it
gives a fun Growl like a 60's muscle car,
and moves surprisingly quickly. sometimes
I forget that I'm driving a minivan. it
has classic unoffensive styling. if you
like Chevy's and need a van, this is not
a bad option. Update: I have now owned it for
almost two years. we have camped in it, towed a
boat with it, and used it as a daily driver. we
just did our first major maintenance/repairs on
it. It needed new rear hubs which they said was
somewhat rare. they also replaced the tie rod
on one side and fixed the alignment. The front
brakes pads were replaced/ rotors resurfaced
and we threw in a coolant flush because the
coolant looked dirty (something that I'd
noticed when we got it, and thought about
getting done a long time ago)the total came to
about $800. considering this is the first time
we have had to do anything for it, (and the
good deal we got on it) I figure it's not bad.Mar 30, 2011

I wrote a review of this car a while ago, but I
guess I'll do it again. I really like this van.
I have owned it for a year and a half and it is
starting to need some more maintenance. the ABS
has been making funny noises and the brakes
need to be replaced. I don't know if anything
had been done to them before we got it, but it
has relatively high miles so it's not that
surprising. we camped in it last summer and it

I bought mines about a year after GM
decided to pull the Venture off the market.
It did pretty well for a Front Wheel Drive.
I bought the car out of my neighborhood.
It would ove looked better with the DVD

Um, it's a van and stuff that goes and uses little fuel and has room so the kids are not right in my ears....it's not fun to drive. It's large and boring, but it works so it's great to me...enough?Mar 04, 2010

This car handles very well for a minivan. It is extremely economical, dependable, comfortable and easy to drive. It is a tight body, a strong engine and is easy to care for and maintain. This car is roomy and well designed. Chevrolet built a strong and practical car in this model and I am sorry that GM no longer markets a minivan. this is a good made van with tons of room gas mileage at about 20 in the city 25 HyWy. al thought i;ve has some problems with the sterio i've got 175,000+ miles on mine and know i've got a bunch more, do your monthly maint. on amy car and it will take you far. thanks chevy.Jul 01, 2009

My thermostat gauge in the car is going up and down, what could be the problem
My thermostat starts on cold and when i get in and drive it goes from low to almost hot., and it jumps back and forth when I drive the car. Do I need to change the thermostat, I add water and coolant but it does the same thing. And what will it cost to take it into a shop

Chevy venture 2002 won't start won't crank
I have a 2002 chevy venture van when I turn the key it don't crank or start had replaced the computer and the steering column and still nothing and the battery is brand new and fully charged before we even installed it so we have no idea where to even start at with this.... help!!!
