The car is very quick little car. The convertible option is nice. The car is a little rough ride but most sports cars are. The use of higher octane fuel is necessary which is a negative but the car has a nice responsive motor.Sep 05, 2021

I love how the car looks and handles, how easy it is to raise/lower the top, and the slapstick. I don't care for having to use the most expensive gas, or how small the trunk is, but overall, it's a great lil car, and I love it!Sep 23, 2013

Great car, taught MYSELF how to drive manual alone with this car, it THAT smooth of a shift. Get up and go is great for a "4 banger " engine. Turns on a dime and will stop on one as well.Sep 20, 2013

Hmm... well i love my car. I never thought that i would own a convertible, but then i got this baby!!!! The car is really fun to drive and the open air experience is awesome!!!! Mods and upgrades aren't expensive, but be careful on how many you get cuz that $$$ will build up quick!!!

Overall, I love this car. It was my first car and the only one I have ever had. In all the years I have had her (yes I have named her, Foxy) I have never had to take her to get any repairs, except for replacing the convertible top (only after almost ten years of use though) and I recently just replaced the transmission. Other than that she has been a great car for me. I absolutely love her. For me, as I have no kids and relatively no need for mass amounts of space, the car was a great fit. Although the cargo space is small, I was still able to commute back and forth from college and the car still had enough room for small luggage bags and a dog crate. I would suggests this car for those that like speed, great looks and those who dont need a family car. Sep 19, 2011

Car is fun to drive, drop the top and let the wind blow! Very cheap to operate and very good at speeds for a 4 cylinder. Lots of new custom parts including head lights, tail and brake lights. New rotors and brake pads, radiator, timing belt, but didn't replace the thermostat, that apparently stuck.Jul 31, 2011

My car handles really well. The gas is very sensitive and the brakes work well. The drivers side window rattles sometimes... I think I might need to get the seals redone... I love the way my car looks, it is soo cool. It gets pretty good gas mileage, I drive from Tucson to 29 Palms on just over a tank of gas... when i first got this car it was a complete piece of crap. But when you put a lot of hard work and dedication it all pays out in the. this car has the best acceleration ive ever driven with i can go from 0-60 in first in about 5 secondsOct 05, 2009

The acceleration could be better. The front bumper needs to be repaired. The exterior is amazing and the interior is all black leather. The gas milage is decent for a sports car. Maintenance wise, not too bad. Fun to drive!Jun 13, 2009

The V-6 is fast and the only squeeks are from the rubber around the windows which can be fixed with silicone spray. The tires are expensive. It is a blast to drive and is solid even at 110 mph.May 19, 2009

A great car to drive, it picks up and goes with the best of them. Sticks to the ground through turns and handles like a pro... as long as there is no water on the roads. Should it be raining be careful. It looks sleek and is definatly a car that you get noticed in, especially with the top down. Unfortunatly the trunk and back seat are both small, because it's a convertable. Also this car does stick in 2nd a little long but shifts strong once it does. An overall awsome ride.Aug 22, 2008

Quick to accelerate at first but the transmission has problems shifting from second to third gear in automatic. Also the reverse solenoid fluid has had to be replaced twice in the past. Other than that the car drives nicely, the suspension can be a little tight for long trips etc but it is a fun car to drive. The only other complaint i would have is that there is little trunk space in the car but what else can you expect with a convertible?Jul 30, 2008

I have had my eclipse for over a year now and i absolutely love it! from the tan leather interior to the flame red exterior, lowered 2 inces the stance is aggressive and gorgeous. with the top down cruisin in the summer time it just feels great. It only has 210 stock HP so its not the fastest car but it doesnt hold back in the performance category. Also being a sports car and a convertible it can get a lil expensive for the car and the insurance so even tho I love this car i am planning on selling it in the springtime.Jan 12, 2008

Won't Start
So night before last I went to town to get some things, turned my car off threw the keys in my purse, 30 mins later I get in my car and try to start it, and suddenly it starts stalling out and dying. Sounded as if it was out of gas but it wasn't, so I keep trying and eventually it starts up after I stayed on the gas hard. So I went home ( the car ran and drove great as usual) so I killed it and didn't think nothing else about it. Got up yesterday and got in the car, without hesitation or any problems it started right up so I'm thinking we're good. Go inside Wal-Mart come out 20 mins later and again it wouldn't start but this time it would only crank or turn over but wouldn't start for nothing it acted like it wasn't getting fuel so I left it parked over night and disconnected my battery and called my daughter to come get me. Went back this morning and it still won't start up. Had the battery tested and its fully charged, fuses all seem good, relays look good as well. Has plenty of gas, sounds like the fuel pump is kicking on & oil doesn't smell like fuel I'm at a loss and stumped. A guy at Wal- Mart said it it could be my timing. But the car hasn't been acting up or doing this, it was just sudden, never any problems. Someone please help.. Open to all advice and any suggestions! Also I priced all the parts below and was wondering is $70 $75 was a good price for everything listed below and its all new.. Timing kit, water pump, serpentine belt, fuel pump & strainer, 2 relay fuses, 6 spark plugs and a oil filter with 5 qrts of oil.. Good price or no?
