Radiator fan not working.
My caddy is slightly overheating trying to find the root cause. Noticed my radiator fans aint working even when cutting on a/c on high. Is it a fuse/relay/ some other issue?

The Cadillac Seville's focus shifted from function to fun in 2001. The most noticeable change came in the form of an optional Infotainment system that includes a PDA, hands-free cell phone set, CD-ROM drive, and a navigation system all hooked to Bose speakers. Other adjustments include improved headlights and a tire-pressure monitoring system. OnStar now comes standard on both trims: the SLS and STS. Otherwise, the Seville delivers the same features and performance as it always has.
Cadillac's longstanding midsized sedan has 4 doors and seats 5. Fuel consumption runs from 17 mpg in the city to 28 mpg on the highway. The SLS uses a 4.6 L, 275 hp V8 engine with 4 speed automatic while the STS uses a 300 hp version. Standard features include air conditioning, power windows, power door locks, leather seats, power seats, cd player, ABS brakes, and traction control. Sunroof comes optional. In addition, trunk space still comes out to 15.7 cubic feet on both trims.
As usual, Seville owners feel ambivalent about their car. On one hand, they enjoy the smooth handling and superlative performance. On the other hand, a broken-in model tends to spend more time in the shop than on the road. Remember to check the condition on your used 2001 Cadillac Seville before you spring for one.

What I like about my Seville is that even though she is 12 years old she is still an eye grabber by other drivers. She handles very well, a very quite ride when driving on long trips. My partner loves my Cadillac, this was my first car I had ever since I was 15 I love it then and I love it now. Jan 23, 2013

Got this car used and needing work in 2012 at 120K miles for $3200. I've since put about $2000 into brakes, power steering pump, a/c, upgraded Corsa cat-back system, and a variety of small fixes. It wants to maintained at a high level and is intollerant of relatively small issues, such as minor tire balance issues or fluid levels. I still think this has been a good value for the age, quality and class of vehicle. I love to drive the car and I love the comfort and style. It has great lines, the white diamond color is very attractive, and the interior is quite comfortable. It can drive as a comfortable cruiser, but can also be a powerful beast when you want it. I worry a bit about the car for future maintenance costs, but I'm still happy with it, for now.
** UPDATE **
I sold this car a while back. While it was driving fine and still ran strong, there were issues with the suspension and with leaks in the engine that were going to cost more than the car was worth to fix. My mechanic advised me to sell it soon before the problems were critical but the car was still running well. I was sad to see it go, but replaced it with a Lincoln MKZ.Aug 17, 2012

this car accelerates very well but it only brakes decently
The car has very good build quality
This car is a thrill to drive, it takes just a little bit of gas to jump up in miles per hour

Fun car to drive , very costly to repair any oil leaks, 114,000 and 10 years old and still going strong with no signs of rust. I get plenty of favorable compliments from my neighbors and strangers in the parking lots while out shopping. Jul 10, 2011

Honestly, Cadillac did something right with this baby. They put a lot of effort into performance and looks. And with a 32 valve Northstar V8 putting out 300+ HP it can't be beat by most competitors in its class. It is comfortable, and they last if you take care of them. Car shut off going down the road

2001 Cadillac Seville sets over heat
I have a 2001 Cadillac Seville sts. When me and the wife got it the guy said it would run hot from time to time. So I ran a block test on it no results of exhaust gases. Come to find out it was a fan not kicking on. So fixed that drove it down the road and the upper radiator hose busted replaced hose. Then the radiator busted on the upper hose side. Replaced that. Now I’ve noticed I have pressure in the lower hose and no flow in the upper both hoses get hot and the expansion tank is building pressure high enough coolant pushes out of the cap. I have checked the purge line and the nipple on the water pump housing is clear but it only spits coolant out here and there I have pulled the thermostat and bypassed heater core only thing I haven’t done yet is the water pump. Can anyone help me with what else maybe causing this or is this something the water pump will do if the water pump isn’t working?
