The new millenium ushered in some new changes for the Cadillac Seville. First, the new model no longer required premium fuel. In addition, Cadillac adjusted the engine to minimize noise and emissions while maintaining the Seville's signature performance. Finally, new options for 2000 include a navigation system and a rear parking assist device for when you get too close to the car behind you. Otherwise, the 2000 Cadillac Seville comes in the same 2 trims: the STS and the SLS. The SLS uses a 4.6 L, 275 hp V8 engine with 4 speed automatic while the sportier STS uses a 300 hp version. Both trims have 4 doors and seat 5 while delivering 17 mpg in the city, 28 mpg on the highway. Standard features include air conditioning, power windows, power door locks, leather seats, power seats, cd player, ABS brakes, and traction control. Sunroof comes as an option. The 2000 edition showed that Cadillac could modernize its midsize sedan. Drivers have always appreciated the Cadillac Seville's smooth performance and elegant appearance. However, the same concerns remain about maintenance and durability. Only time would tell whether the Seville could fully reclaim its place atop the market.

Beautiful styling. Definitely a 5 star for styling, but the reliability of this vehicle lacks. Especially the 2000-2001 models being prone to the head gaskets going. If you’re looking for a fast luxurious and smooth ride, this car is definitely it. As long as you’re able to afford the costs that come with it. It’s quite unfortunate because this car is by far the most beautiful car I’ve ever seen everything about it so eye catching. Just wish it didn’t have so many issues. Cadillac was really ahead of the game in the early 2000’s wish they would’ve kept this model going!! Don’t see anything like it on the roads today.Jan 27, 2022

Extraordinary in many ways. Very wide, too wide really for relaxed driving in towns or lanes. 5.7V8 is just superb and traction maintain at all times, even if it doesn't always feel like it due to the soft suspension and some roll. Comfort, of course, and modern electronic dash display and BOSE sound system second to none. Requires nerve to drive hard and also to explain to others why you've got a 'pink' Cadillac. 24mpg not unreasonable.Mar 22, 2008
