How do I stop 4Runner tire wear on inside of drivers side tire?
I have an old 1999 Toyota 4Runner SR5. I purchased the car new and there has always been a problem with the wire wear on the drivers side. The tire will wear on the inside tread very quickly. I rotate the tires every 5,000 miles. I have been to numerous repair shops and all they want to do is an alignment, balance, etc. Those have been done multiple times. The rack & pinion has also been replaced. Any suggestions? I read in another post that was dicussing tire shake and several people mentioned replacing needle bearing on the drivers side with a ECGS 8" clamshell. Does anyone think that would help with the tire wear too? For whatever its worth, I have the shaking problem too.
