1999 Mitsubishi Mirage Reviews, Pricing & Specs

I bought my 1999 Mitsubishi Mirage 2 door Coupe with a/c & an automatic transmission in July 2013 for $500.00. It had 174k miles on it & I was told it needed rear brakes and a windshield & after 3 months, so much for that! It took a Bank One catalytic convertor, 2 oxygen sensors, IAC valve, FPR, CTS sensor, EGR valve cleaning & new gasket, front struts, a new complete set of front rotors, calipers & pads, rear brake drums, bearings, shoes, wheel cylinders & brake hardware, transmission flush & speed sensor, windshield, cylinder head gasket, timing belt, radiator, thermostat, alternator, battery, white Rustoleum paint roller paint job & new rear strut assemblies to get it in tip top & ultra reliable shape. It cost over $3,200.00 to get it all done but it's been ever so efficient & reliable with no check engine light issues ever since & it should remain that way for many years to come @ 5k+ miles per year & the transmission was rebuilt in another state 10+ years ago. Engine starts up easily with perfect "factory spec" compression and the MPG has ranged between 26-34 & the heat's warm & the a/c is ice cold! It's a decent car, not the best or the fastest, but it does hold its own.Jan 31, 2015
