The car would be amazing, I love the older jeeps (I feel that they are more reliable). What I dont like it that I reached out to the car dealership and they ignored my request when I was genuinely interested in getting the jeep. So vehicle is amazing, that car dealership is trash and I dont recommend them at all.Jul 28, 2024

The car would be amazing, I love the older jeeps (I feel that they are more reliable). I love the ease by which you can get spare parts or add ons. I just added the black sail cloth soft-top. The five speed manual is bit slow to start off, but once you get her going no issues.
The sound bar give good quality if you are not on the freeway.
The thing I like most is that it actually feels like a car when on the freeway and not having to shift. it is smooth and at 65 - 70mph it's a good ride. I think a hard top would give you better noise reduction. Driving without the soft-top up is a bit loud unless you are just going local. Dec 28, 2014

Ease of operation and the power for a 4 cly, ease of removing top, ease of putting into wheel drive, affordability of aftermarket parts and accessors. IT LOOKS great and handles exceptionally off road. The beach is so easy in this jeep. Remember get your NC beach permit.
This jeep is a work horse and runs and runs. Make sure you double check your wiring under dash panel due to off road use as the shaking can loosen wiring and cause disconnection. Always inspect your jeep before and after off road use.Dec 19, 2014

This vehicle is great in the winter/snow or fun with top off in the summer. Allows you to go anywhere you want with both the ground clearance and 4X4. Not sure I would recommend long commutes with this (gas mileage sucks and it is noisy) but its great for everything else.Nov 22, 2014

Once I put the right tires on this jeep it started performing as I expected, when out with my buddies Its not the best to pull somebody out of a rutt due to it's light weight, but it is the one to go through the hole they got stuck in WOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOMay 31, 2014

What can you say about a vehicle that when you pass by another one on the road, the drivers wave at each other? Well, other than Harley riders, not too many. Prius drivers don't salute one another, although I have saluted a few...with my middle finger, but that's a whole other story. A Jeep, at least a real Jeep (Wrangler, CJ, TJ, etc.. not an SUV that says Grand Cherokee or whatever) is like no other vehicle on the road...or off the road for that matter. They are noisy, leak air, leak water (I don't mean from the radiator...I mean like you get wet driving one when it rains), handle like crap, get terrible fuel mileage, are about as aerodynamic as a barn door but we LOVE them LOVE them LOVE them!! If you want a Jeep, you want it because of what it is. You don't buy it to be a tree hugger...you buy it to drive up a tree! Jeep people know what I mean...the rest of you are just probably confused by now. I enjoyed mine for 7 years. Alas, I have moved on to other machines for now...but you never know. One day in the future I may have a need to do Moab or Rubicon or Engineer's Pass and I will do it Only In A Jeep! Apr 16, 2014

Fun off and on road vehicle. Great in winter. Good to haul equipment. Removable back seat. Noisy and rough ride. It's a reliable, low maintenance vehicle with wonderful top-down potential. If you're looking for doors off, top down, go to the beach fun car, the Wrangler is it.Aug 27, 2013

I love that its great for all year round weather in the NE area. You get the best of both worlds. There is NOTHING better than having the roof down and the doors off during those perfect days. The gas mileage is tough but it is what it is with these. Mar 30, 2013

The Jeep is a lot of fun! It is not conducive to a family of four but I knew that going in. I enjoy my occasional ride around town with the top off. It's a fun ride for young and old! Brand new tires and with a sixth wheel.Aug 15, 2012

This Jeep is a blast to drive, it gets good gas mileage and is in great shape. It has about 173,000 miles on it and has been very well cared for through-out. It will run forever if you treat it right.Feb 25, 2011

Absolutely love my jeep. Offroad performance is better then any truck ive owned. Better fuel milage would be great. The "bullet proof" 4.0 has never let me down on or off the road. Ive driven my jeep from Oswego NY to Blairsville,PA and the only complaint i have is the sunburn i got from having the top down for a 7hr drive hahaApr 21, 2010

never put a dollor into it beside wear and tare parts like tires, pads, and oil/oil filter its built very well every one should have one for winter at least the 4 wheel drive is awesome and if u wanna have fun in the snow and still have control stay in rear wheel drive hahaOct 08, 2009

everything is perfect, the only downer is it needs a new
tranny. the power in the motor is tough, it pills us out of a lot
of crap. the jeep's handling is awesome. the best part of the
Jeep is that when it gets covered in mudd its even more

Awesome car with seemingly endless possibilities in the after market world. The ruggedness of the wrangler can be very reassuring to drivers. Making the truck a convertable requires only two people or one if you have the soft top. All together favorite truck ever!Jul 01, 2009

I love my jeep - wish I had better axles, d44 would me nice - better sound options would be cool - it's hard to put a sub and amp in such a small car. I wish it had more space for camping gear, but my roof rack will fix that. It could get a bit better gas mileage - guess i shiouldn't have put 33 " tires on it Jun 09, 2009

Great brakes and acceleration. Needs rear fender repair due to rust.
Tan leather interior, new carpeting. Black paint job with tan canvas roof.
Two seater, no back seat. Great suspension as well.
Most fun from a vehicle I've had. Great for mudding in Maine.

Haven't had it for too long, but so far impressed. 1999 Jeep Wrangler Sahara. 4.0 Liter six cylinder, Auto trans. 33" Mud King Radials. Plus 33" Super Swamper LTB's with Swamper spare. 3" body lift on top of 3" suspension lift, black rock crawler rims. Hard Top, aftermarket Alpine head unit.

we purchased this car about three weeks ago for an EXTREMELY low price
it had no carpeting, no seat covers, no radio, no soft top, nothing
within two weeks we replaced the flooring and interior material, replaced the seats and seat covers, replaced the radio, tires and soft top
there was still candy, gum, popcorn, you name it, still stuck to the seats when we bought it
it handles okay, it still needs a lot of work, does suprisingly well in the snow
i'm thinking about getting it a new paint job

If I change the rear differential gear ratio, do I also need to change the front transfer case or differential for them to match?
My son's Jeep has a low rear-end gearing. I haven't investigated it thoroughly, but it seems to be set more for rock crawling than anything. I'd like to give him some street performance and still have a little "off roading" capabilities, for sand and mud. If I change the ratio of rear end, do I have to change something in the front end to match the drive ratios between the 2 axles? Corey

99 jeep Tj. Blower motor is not working.
Bench tested the motor; works. Changed the resisto; still not working. Checked the switch; functions properly. Checked the relay; works fine. I am stumped now. The fuse has power when the switch is on (test light grounded to the body) Does this sound like merely a bad ground since I seem to be getting power with a test light when it is grounded to the body? thanks.

Jeep jumps (with a little gas) but then dies as soon as gas pedal let off
Been driving a '99 Jeep Wrangler forever every day, but recently bought a new truck. Tried to drive the jeep once a week, but one day it didnt start at all. Couple days later, finally went out to jump. After waiting a few minutes, interior lights/accessories would come on. I tried to start. wouldnt start on its own, but a few revs got it going... but as soon as i took my foot off the gas it would die. Might try to jump again tonight and just let it charge more, but i understand it could be some fuel line issues, maybe just be a really dead battery... i dunno!

99 wrangler I have the blower motor resister melted plug problem but what I've read about that it's to do with fan speed. I don't have problems with the fan speed the air don't not change zones. Lucky it comes out the defroster but I wanna fix it.. Is the blower resister and the 3 melted plug part of the problem??? Any thoughts???
