My Honda Civic keeps cutting off while I'm driving
When I'm driving my Honda Civic it'll randomly turn off then if I give it a sec it'll cut back on. I've had new distributor cap ignition switch and fuel filter what could it be

Taking into account these are pre-owned vehicles, the only major complaint about this car is a lack of power going up-hill. Driving my car one morning and all of a sudden steam starts pouring from my radiator or from that general vicinity the coolant in the overflow seem to be boiling over I checked the temp gauge it was under the half way mark my fans are not kicking on I checked the fuses and replaced the relay still no fans I also replaced the thermostat but the coolant in the radiator is still not circulating Sep 15, 2021

It's a four door car that I like, I dislike the two door ones because you got to get out to get other's in the back seat.
I live the shape and how it's not heavy on the road like some other cars that feel like driving a tank.

My Civic had been sitting out in the hot Texas heat for about 4 years, not being driven. One day we did take it out for a drive and got into a terrible wreck. The car's airbags deployed properly and no one got hurt at all. It was then that I realized the amazing safety that Honda Civics have to offer. I miss my car very much and would definitely recommend that make and model to new/inexperienced drivers because of the safety.Aug 03, 2014

I've owned my Honda Civic for over 10 years and am so impressed with it. If anyone is in the market for an affordable car that performs on all fronts this is the car. Great mileage averaging 38-39 miles to the gallon, very good fit and finish. My Honda has 229k on it and there is not one rattle in the car, it still drives like new! Mar 20, 2013

she lags a bit when i press on the gas but then she goes !
its needed repairs.. BUT i bought it with 100xxx on it... and now it has 370xxx on
it, so obviously it needs repairs. i've never had to replace anything twice on it
tho.. jusst normal maintenance.
so easy on gas and fun to drive !

fast acceleration and on the dime stop brakes. smaller car so easier handling. sturdy body. about 40 MPG and easy maintenance and havent had any major issues. Fun car to drive. it has been reliable for me the entire time I have had it. nice over all car only has 152 000 km on it reliable no power tho when starting out. has a sub and 10 disk cd changer. it is a 5 speed. and the 4 doors makes it easier to get in and out of.Jan 20, 2010

The car I should have never got rid of. It handled like a sports car. The VTEC was revvy but slow overall. The Auto transmission shifts rough but is geared well to the torqueless engine. The ride was rather rough at times but acceptable considering it handled well. I didn't realize how much I like this car until I traded it in on a 05 Toyota MatrixDec 13, 2009

20k miles done in a year with just an oil/brake pads/wipers change. No brakedowns or other surprises. Just went through NCT (Irish National Car Test - has to be done every 2 years) recently without any problems. All it costs me is petrol really, and it's not a lot neither because it needs around 7.7l for 100km (30.5mpg). Acceleration is not bad, could be better of course, but as for 1.4l engine (90HP) it's really fine. Handling is brilliant as for this class of car. Build Quality-no other way to say it, but made in
Japan, its good work.
Appearance- well it is no eye sore for one thing
Cost of Ownership- 30-34 mpg (at least that's
what I get with a Cosmo Racing SRI), no major
maintenance done yet!

Keeps running with very low maintanence. very tolerant to abuse...my poort little car.
Acceleration is quite good in the class.
Handling and cornering abilities should be best in class.
A/C is quite good.

I've been the owner of this car for a little over a year now, and I must say it is a pretty neat car to drive. The d16y7 motor only puts out around 107hp stock, but with the upgrades I have, I'd say it's more around 125-130. Since the car is so light, with no power steering or air conditioning to slow it down, it accelerates is quite good, as well as the braking. The handling is good as well with the Tein lowering spring i put in. The car looks great too, with the HIDs and 15inch rims. You can't go wrong with the gas mileage either. It takes about 20 dollars to fill my tank, depending on the price of gas of course. It's an overall fun car to drive, and I would recommend it if you get one in good condition.Feb 06, 2009

It has needed several repairs but mostly just to make it look better.
I blackened both front lights and back lights.
Got a spoiler and a loud exhaust system.

This is one the best cars I have driven in a long time. It has lots of horse power for its size. Great on gas! I am getting 42mpg highway and 38mpg city! That is if I can keep myself from redlining it at every red light. I would suggest this car to almost anyone.Sep 08, 2008

I have owned Mercury, Honda Accord, Saturn and Honda Civic. Civic is the best in terms of reliability, maintenance, gas mileage etc. I get 36 miles per gallon in city and 40 miles per gallon on highways. Very happy to own Civic in this high gas prices era. My next car would be Honda Civic Hybrid.

Could this be fuel related?
Okay my 1999 Civic cranks and runs, runs rough, but it runs and it dies when the engine reaches a certain temperature I guess and it won't crank back until it's cooled and it'll only run then for however long it has cooled it's relative. So we checked the spark plugs and they all have spark. They're all getting fire. So, could this be fuel related instead of the ICM maybe?

1999 Honda Civic Dies while driving
i have a 1999 honda civic ex which has 165,000 miles. Within the last few months the car will shutoff while driving. i have no power steering, nothing. i have to pull the car to side of the road and put the car in nuetral to start. Sometimes it will start right away and other times it will take about 5 to 10 turns of the ignition. I brought it to the mechanic and he replaced the battery and battery end and the coalate temp sensor. work fine for a few days and then the same thing happened
