In 1999, the new Chrysler 300M replaced the less aggressive New Yorker at the top of the Chrysler line. The new full size utilized the LH platform also found at the roots of the Chrysler Concorde, LHS, and Dodge Intrepid. All featured the popular cab forward design. This layout helped Dodge and Chrysler increase overall interior room in their mid and full size cars. The 300M was powered by a 3.5 liter which produced 253 horsepower and 253 pound-feet of torque. The V-6 was teamed with a 4-speed automatic as the only transmission option. Despite and long and heavy build, at 198 inches and 3567 pounds, the full size sedan traveled from 0 to 60 mph in 7.8 seconds. Overall performance is furthered a sports-tuned suspension. All 300Ms are front wheel drive. Serving as the top of the line Chrysler model, the 300M was well appointed. It included leather heated seats and a multifunction trip computer. At the first encounter, the 300M appeared to be a fine blend of sport and luxury, but many found those attributes overshadowed by poor quality and reliability. Electrical problems were a common issue for owners, often related to the power windows and dashboard illumination. This model also had a recall in 1999, and many were unsatisfied with the quality of Chrysler service.
Ok I just bought a 99 Chrysler 300 and the heat only worked on high and then just went dead all together one day so we bought a blower motor resistor and replaced it and now the heat works and the temp controls all work but it will not turn off. The switch or faceplate works just fine i can change the temp and the setting and when I press the off button the screen turns off but the heat stays on. Any ideas what the problem could be
The touch buttons on the air/heat console are not functioning to direct air flow i.e.stuck in the upper vents and cannot redirect to either the bottom vents or defrost vents. I ran the diagnostic check I saw on a video and CODE 24 shows up. Could you please advise what component needs to replaced or connection checked to fix the problem. Thank you
Have no problem with winter. But when summer comes, my car wont start after being parked for about twenty minutes. Once it starts it idles ruffly for about a minute than it stabilizes. I drive about 40 minutes to the food store. Go in, fill the cart. Go to my car then that happens. Not every time but always in the 80℉ and up summer. Gas pump replaced last month. Engine recently restored.
The defroster blows hot and cold, temp works and fans are clearly working from low to high. Vents in the dash will not allow air to come out of them. Changed internal fuses. Is there an arm or controller I can check. Mountainview Goodyear wants $120 to diagnose. Thoughts?
No water in the hose going to radiator the next day or the side holder all gone
