Used 1999 Chrysler 300M for Sale near Katy, TX
In 1999, the new Chrysler 300M replaced the less aggressive New Yorker at the top of the Chrysler line. The new full size utilized the LH platform also found at the roots of the Chrysler Concorde, LHS, and Dodge Intrepid. All featured the popular cab forward design. This layout helped Dodge and Chrysler increase overall interior room in their mid and full size cars.
The 300M was powered by a 3.5 liter which produced 253 horsepower and 253 pound-feet of torque. The V-6 was teamed with a 4-speed automatic as the only transmission option. Despite and long and heavy build, at 198 inches and 3567 pounds, the full size sedan traveled from 0 to 60 mph in 7.8 seconds. Overall performance is furthered a sports-tuned suspension. All 300Ms are front wheel drive.
Serving as the top of the line Chrysler model, the 300M was well appointed. It included leather heated seats and a multifunction trip computer. At the first encounter, the 300M appeared to be a fine blend of sport and luxury, but many found those attributes overshadowed by poor quality and reliability. Electrical problems were a common issue for owners, often related to the power windows and dashboard illumination. This model also had a recall in 1999, and many were unsatisfied with the quality of Chrysler service.

(25 reviews)On the positive side, the body of the vehicle still looks like it drove off the showroom floor... best quality body of any car I've ever owned or heard of... probably one reason the car has retained it's value more than many other cars. On the negative side, tons of little repair problems... power locks broke one at a time over the years... back windows no longer open, rubber molding around doors came apart so one door is inoperable, even after several failed repair efforts... dash light doesn't work... air conditioning broke twice... I would consider purchasing this type of car again, but only at a discount and only if the dealership provides warranty on EVERYTHING plus free rentals during all the repairs.
Comfortable ride smooth with performance, has what you need to get out of the way.fast for a Stock car.Minimal blind spots/ outstanding pick up from 0 to 60mph. /Quality sound system from the factory/ minimal road noise/ Cons 1 should come factory (standard) built in GPS. not a addition option.
Car saved Chrysler and set the stage for its comeback. Been very happy with it, having owned it for 13+ years. Would replace with the 300, but I don't like the color choices and almost all the interiors are black.
Great american car with V6-engine! Automatic transmission is very good. Engine is very powerful, thought the car is heavy. Interior styling: good. Electronic sunroof :) It has over 205 thousand kilometres on it. Special: the soundsystem is very good. I don't think this car is funny, but it is awesome.
Great car and a good looker inside and out. Great engine..a real screamer and a durable trans.
