Where is negative terminal in trunk of Audi 1999 A8 Quattro
I have same problem finding a negative terminal post in trunk of 1999 Audi A8 Quattro as asked in a previous question for a 2006. Model a8 quattro

Easily fitting five in its spacious interior, the elegant, yet understated Audi A8 is a high-end family car that also packs enough power and precise handling to ??? looking for a little fun behind the wheel. A 3.7-liter, 230-hp V8 base model and 4.2-liter, 300-hp V8 quattro sedan are the choices for 1999.
There are few changes to the 1999 Audi A8. Dual-laminated glass was added to further decrease the already miniscule road noise. The Warm Weather Package ditched the insulated glass, but kept the much loved solar sunroof and rear sunshades. New standard features included larger exterior mirrors, a First Aid kit, and a CD changer. This is in addition to the already abundant offerings, such as real wood trim, leather seats, 14-way adjustable power seats, memory feature for the driver's seat, mirrors, and steering, wheel, power sunroof, and keyless entry.
Highlights of the 1998 A8 include the quattro AWD, which offers safety and security and, according to one owner, eliminates the need for snow tires. Comfortable seats, roomy interior, a huge trunk, and the solar sunroof option are all high points. Great acceleration power due to the light aluminum frame, and a smooth quiet ride are why owners love their Audi A8. Hooking up a vacuum tube between Audi and your bank account might be a good idea for A8 buyers, as the initial pricetag and high maintenace costs literally suck your wallet dry. Owners find this and the instant depreciation on A8s to be a major low point. On the flip side, the extreme depreciation values make it an ideal used car purchase, as you get a lot of interior features for the money. The transmission still seems to suffer from downshifting problems, and drivers continue to complain about the small mirrors.

Trying to save $$, I bought a recharge kit...a can filled with R134A with pressure gauge attached. No info available about my 1999 A8. I found what looks like the high and low pressure ports, but it will not fit the end of the hose. The car frame is too close to the port, and it looks like it wouldn't really fit anyway. Help. Please.
I tried to jump start but their QAA a shirt in the cable connect to the negative post The cable heated up and melded at the cable clamp Battery seems ok but can you jump start the Audi through this battery as perhaps it melted the negative lead on battery It looks fine and I still get clicking noise under the hood when I turn ignition on I am Leary of jump starting now as I do not want to damage the cars electrical Hope I havnt already I love how you take info over the iPhone
When I accelerate 1999 Audi A8 there is a recurring slip or catch in the transmission--maybe three times on the way to 60mph. Any ideas?
