1999 Alfa Romeo 166 Reviews, Pricing & Specs

Clarkson says if you're a true car enthusiast you must have owned an Alfa Romeo at some point. Buying headlong into his frame I picked up this 3.0 V6 model for next to nothing in excellent, low mileage and fully historied condition. The V6 sounds absolutely fantastic, and is brisk without ever being really fast (primarily becasue it suffers from a 4 speed automatic). I wouldn't recommend the car if you had to rely on it - we all know what Alfas are like in terms of reliability - but as a novelty to take for a spin once in a while it's very rewarding.Jan 24, 2010
