This vehicle is packed with all the right features. It is built well since its actually built in the UK by austin. Its built very well. The 4wd is incredible and is the last year you can use its low and locked differential as part of its offroad features. LR said that their standard system is far superior just the way it is so even though the differential was never changed in the next ten years the ability to switch to a different option isnt not possible because its not equiped with a shifter or switch. However if put into down hill decent and the vehicles computer decides its neccesary then it will do so. Also the durability of this vehical is incredible and is built tougher then anyother suv in the world. For instance, the core support which cradles the radiator in all vehicles is pressed out of thin sheet metal on just about all makes even trucks of all capacity. The RR has a 4 inch steal tube bracing the radiator by surrounding it and being welded directly to the frame as part of its structure. This means that you could take quite a lot of damage to the front of this suv and pretty well possibly be able to drive for alot of miles without damaging the vehicle anymore. The on road performance is incredible for the fact that its all time 4wd. It holds the road like no other vehicle ive drove. Giving you a cofidence that matches no other. I mean ove sports cars because of the seating position and the way LR builds these suvs to be able to give you the feel of the road directly to you through the steering wheel and pedals. This is all with a seat posturing , excelent mirror vission and the clear wide open windshield for an overwhelmingly secure feeling of control of all your surroundings on or off road. I cant compare this vehicle to any others not even from other models of LR. The discovery 50th year is like it but a different feel leaning towards off road. Doesnt feel as safe as RR on road. And i own both models. If it was life or death decision i would say the G-wagon G model benz is closes to that feeling. The only thing i would do to this vehicle and im about to do is add a supercharger as they did with it newer models. Mar 28, 2023

Great car crap on fuel but is very comfy, automatic, it's not too sluggish, big boot and can tow a 3.5 ton trailer legally. Starting to show it's age a bit but I love it.. Great car just replaced the upper tailgate cos it was rusty.Dec 03, 2011

Sport mode is fun, build quality is good. Bought with full service history after looking very carefully at some really bad examples. Checked on known problems before we bought and made sure this didn't have them. Bit juicy, but what do expect with a V8? Found good garage for servicing and get it done regularly. The Autobiography trim is great kids love the video system and stereo. Sep 08, 2008
