My 98 catera is leaking water.

For two weeks no visible leaks could be found, but the radiator resivor was going down about a pint per day. Recently, when I stopped, water would drip from the front right side of the radiator area. I check the hoses and all appeared well. Today water was pouring out of the same area when I parked after about a 15 min. drive- it lost about 1 gal. of fluid. But about a half hour later after a similar drive no leaks were detected. The water dash guage has never indicated excessive temperature. Is it likely a water pump or a crack in the radiator? The car has 68,000 miles. What is it likely to cost to replace each? Thanks.

Hi .. Iam searching for a used car for my budget and i found 1998 cadillac catera that has only one owner all these years with 39 000 kilometers only.. But what iam reading reviews about this car only bad things... Is this a really bad car to own even with the one owner thing an low obo.. Thank u very much

Mystery Problem (for me), Car Occasionally Will Not Start

Hi there, I recently received a Cadillac Catera 1998 from my old man, since he doesn't have a need to drive the car. Here is the dilemma, this car has had a history of not starting on occasion. No, cranking, nothing (For the record, I may be mistaken with the term usage, but there is not sound when trying to start the car). The only way to fix this problem is to let it sit, or have it jump started. I tried going through the usual suspects via advice from my mechanic friend, testing the alternator, starter, and battery; they all check out fine. What could possibly be preventing the car from starting on occasion? I recently looked around, and kept reading, "crank case sensor". Would that be the issue? On a side note, I recently had an oil change, and I am getting the oil light for some reason. I replaced with nearly a full jug of 4.8L of oil. Thank you for reading this (apologies for being wordy) and I hope some one can shed light on this.

Yes my car is running hot I have a 1998 Catera Cadillac and having problems with it overheating but the thermostat is under the the intake manifold so we have to go in and replace all the replace does

Need help now I already paid for it but it's worth it right now I need to know if this is the best way possible to remove the thermostat it's underneath the intake manifold
