Opel Astra F Caravan, white.
A very good daily driver, family car, enough room for 5 people... what do you expect from a mid size wagon??
It had a good engine, the 1.7 turbo diesel ...'till the turbine failed, and because a new one was too expensive and the one that failed could not be repaired I was left without a turbine. Bolted a plate on the exhaust.
The end of the car was a crash from witch no one died... a serious one too, with a the opposite car hitting the Opel with a speed of 130km/h and the Opel doing ~49km/h.May 09, 2010

The acceleration is sometimes poor, braking and handling too. But it can carry heavy loads at least.The suspension is very tough and had no problems with it so far. The plastics are cheap.The interior looks nice. Yes it is a fun car to drive. And it is cheap to run too.Sep 05, 2008

What causes the maniford to heat up after the car starts
I have an opel astra 97 model 1.6 and the problem it has is whn the car starts and run after few seconds the maniford starts to heat up the auxos gets very hot you can cook an egg on it so what could be the problem?

What is the length of the pulley belt of an Opel Astra 1997?
I have been doing trial and error. 6pk 1600 is too small and with 6pk 1640, it's a bit saggy and makes a lot of noise when I start the car. My car is second hand and its my first car. The mechanic is making me do a bit too much come and go from the shops for this belt. I want to have sure information.
