I have 97 ZJ that wont deliver power to the starter. I've checked the fuse & relay. I've replaced the park/neutral switch & harness. I've also checked the stater itself. everything I've checked has been good. I'm ready to pull handfuls of my hair out. Any & all help wanted.

So my jeep died and wouldn't start back, long story short I went to swap the battery and put it in backwards. The next day my boyfriend tried to put the original battery back in it the right way but all it did was spark and smoke. I later found out the computer going bad was my original issue. Basically I'm just trying to decide if even after putting the battery in backwards if the car is worth fixing or if I totally fried it.
Help!!!!!! I'm going bald pulling my hair out!!!! Here's the story-my son has been driving this jeep for the last few months. He pulled into the parking lot at work and jeep died. I trailered it home and the hair pulling commenced!!! It has 50 psi fuel pressure while spinning over. Good spark at spark plugs (I even replaced them). Noid lights at injectors, pulsing properly. It will act like it wants to start if I pour a few ounces of gas down its throat, but not a start up. HELP Please!!! Can someone point me in another direction that I haven't thought of?!?!? I just bought a 97 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4wd, 4.0 straight six. On the way home the check engine light came on and I started to notice it didn't have the power I thought it should. It was intermittent, and definitely seemed worse when going uphill even slightly. The code was voltage bank one sensor two. I tightened the battery cables and it went off, not to come back on again until I took it on a trail. Nothing serious just a few humps and ruts and one steep climb. Never even had to put it in 4wd. I made it home fine, but about ten miles down the road the next morning, I turned to go up a hill and it died. I discovered a hole in my fuel line and when I tried to crank it after it died my fuel light comes on, even though my gauge read about three quarters of a tank when it died, so I called someone to bring me some gas to try and drive it home but it still wouldn't fire up. Had to have it towed home where I replaced the fuel line, got more gas put in it and it still wouldn't start. I've now changed the coil, the crank sensor and the distributor. I thought the distributor was the issue since it was wet on the inside, but changing it didn't fix the problem. The car just cranks and cranks and cranks but it won't start, there's no spark. The fuel pump is working, and it's got enough gas in it to start it, but the gas light is going on and off. It'll stay off for a few seconds, then it'll come on, then it might go off again. And just keep doing that as long as trying to start it. I've got people saying timing, ignition switch, computer issue, etc, but I don't want to blindly throw any more money at parts.
