Pros; Love the classic Oldsmobile styling, motor is bullet proof, a lot of space, great mpg 16-19 city 25-30 highway. Cons; wish it didn't require premium (due to Supercharger) wish it had rear disc not drum and wish it was a 97 instead of a 96 because of extra goodies 97-99 had. Maintenance on car is really low I only had to replace the rear air shocks because they were leaking. Power antenna not working so need to replace And passenger recliner motor really weak. which I need to replace, fog-lights stopped working. Other than that A really looked over vehicle and love the fact that I never see these on the road, I mean RARELY!!! I maybe see one or two every month and a half or so :)Aug 23, 2013

Its a boat that was loaded. it had a 3.8L v6 engine. it had leather seats. it was roomy. it is tan/silver but not an ugly color. it is roomey. ive fit like 6 or 7 people in a 5 person car or maybe 8.Sep 29, 2009

sleeper car. cheap, fast, reliable, roomy,
comfortable, and really throws down. wish it was
rear wheel drive, frankly, but im quite happy with
it. its not ugly, but its not attractive, very
just....bland. decent mileage, decent throwdown,

Trouble starting car
I have a 96 Olds 88. I know it is an old car but when I got it it only has 80,000 miles on it. The issue I have is that it starts fine in warm weather, but as soon as the temperature drops, it won't start unless it is jumped. Any suggestions?

Brake Fluid Flush
I have a 1996 Olds 88 with 41K. It has ABS brakes. I took it in for an oil change at Firestone and they told me it needs a brake fluid flush. Is there some way to tell if this is true or an excuse to charge an unnecessary service? Will visually inspecting the brake fluid color tell me if it needs to be flushed? How about those brake fluid dip strips?

How many watts could I run off a factory altenator?
My girlfriend has a 96 Oldsmobile 88 and she wants me to build a sub box for her. She currently has a 800-1000w amp on her current subs. She wants me to build her a box so that she can have 4 subs and I want to know if I could put 2 1000w amps on it without frying the altenator. Or would I have to buy a new altenator?
