Emmisions exempt, great accelleration, sporty semi-compact, straight six engine that resembles the old diesel Mercedes Ive had in the past....easy to do a tune up. Very easy to see all blind spots the way the windows and frame are integrated...many recent cars Ive had do not have this aspect which makes lane changes difficult,very easy to see all around the outside of vehicle. These older mercedes are alot easier to work on and maintain than most think, and parts are not that expensive. It will spin tires with force, strong engine purrs with an almost roar at start up. Only thing I dont like is the wide turning radius, like the old 80s models...wears out edges of front tires abnormally faster than more modern steering applications. I plan to keep this car forever, will get better front tires/look into adjusting/modifying front end for better low speed handling...very good high speed handling...super solid car.Jun 28, 2022

There are no little problems only big problem when something goes wrong. Would love to get the car back to its original state. Would be a great car. Leaking, leaking engine. Would love to solve these problems. Great little car.Nov 15, 2014

I love my 96 C280. It really is a beautiful car and I love driving it around. It accelerates very well and, while the breaks are a little on the weak side, it gets me where I need to go and I enjoy getting there! I wouldn't want to have any other car.Oct 30, 2012
