This Nissan Maxima Is a fine car 4 a Single person or a High School kid though an older model does need alot of repairs. This car can handle some racing mods but its no honda civc again This is a luxury sedan w/ a sports car feelJul 01, 2010

This car is a jinx. 5 speeding tickets, 2 accidents and just crappy. must the sound system is amazing...goood time and crappy times too. amazing in the snow, and repair cost arent that bad, but ya'll know me, killed the tranny after having it for 2 monthsDec 22, 2009

Accleration was decent- I beat a lot of people, but the
top speed was lacking, at a miserly 120 mph, for a V6.
My speakers were hella blown out, but you know,
night on the town. GAS MILEAGE WAS PATHETIC. like
16 mpg. But it was my first car. It's name was Jamaal,

Needs a new paint job, a bit of rust to get rid of, could use new suspension, new tinted windows, new speakers, new headlights, grill, and insignias. Oh and some tight black rims with chrome lip. Thats about it heh.Jun 24, 2009

This was a great car. Smooth ride, had some pep in its
step, handled great. It had a 3.0L V-6 24 valve DOHC.
It actually stood its ground in some street races I was

Keep in mind it's 12 years old now with 194k miles on it. But I've never had a mechanical problem except the starter went bad at 11 years old. Nothing else outside of general maintenance.
It's also a very rare manual transmission for the i30's.
I've added a CAI, front and rear strut tower bars,and dropped it an inch. That's all I really want to do as I'm not a 'ricer' I don't like the loud growl at idle. It's nice and civil, but I can open her up and get a satisfying growl with the CAI.
Not the fastest, but still fun to drive as I don't race.Dec 18, 2008

I owned this car for 6 years. I drove it to and from work and never had any mechanical failures. When sold (in June 2007) it still had all major parts in tact and running perfectly. It wasn't a looker, but it ran better than most vehicles on the road.Dec 17, 2007

I've owned my 1996 Infiniti I30 for about 8 years now and it has always been a very reliable car to own. It rarely breaks down, but is very costly when it does. (Minor repairs seem to cost an arm and a leg from the dealer.) This isn't the top of the line model, but does have some very nice features that make the ride more comfortable.May 22, 2007

My 96 Infinity Infinity I30 keeps going thru alternators (3 in 3 years). The mechanic says we are unlucky and keep getting bad alternators, and replaces them for free. Could there be something else?

How do I adjust my rear struts?
I bought my struts as a bundle and so far the front struts match up. But my rear struts matches up but the 2 nut at the top does not aline with the bolt at the bottom. Because on my front struts I am able to turn the 3 nuts at the top to aline in the slots.

Brake loss
Replaced both front pads on 96 infinity I30. Cracked lid on master cylinder. Used c clamp to slowly push piston back. Now I don't have any brakes.
