This was a nightmare to own. In the two years we
had this van, the tranmission had to be replaced
twice. After the second time, we traded this
lemon in! The van was roomy inside, but not
particularly comfortable. Styling was boring
inside and out. Handling and ride were less than
stellar. Performance was horrible and gas milage

living with personality, blown head gasket 100,000 miles ago and still running! check engine light is always on, and the open door light too, needs new tires, engine, and gas censor, gets an amazing 5 miles/gallon. i love ittJun 23, 2009

Bought like new condition, low miles. All options, fully loaded. Rides like a cadillac and goes like snot. Was in perfect condition. Had a major problem with it last week I need to figure out. The oil pan blew off when I went to start it! Has anybody ever heard of such a thing??Sep 28, 2008

A dear friend gave us this van to me and it was a great answer to prayer. When we moved back to Canada this was the only car we could van take back with us. This van hauled 900 papers, moved our belongings, hauled us 100 000 miles and the biggest repair was a 2000 dollar transmission.Aug 10, 2008

Losing accerlation when going up hill in 1996 Ford Windstar
I have a 1996 Ford Windstar I use as a work vehicle. About 2 months ago lost transmission fluid and forced to pull off road. Put transmission stop leak in it and has done great so far. Today as I was driving home I was stopped at traffic light. When I accelerated the van would not move. Engine revs and I go no where. Once I was able to get top of hill finally it drives good. What is the problem? Praying it is an easy fix...
