I have a 96 Chevy van express order to get it to start you have to put your gas pedal down to the floor and then turn ignition when it’s cold but when you started after that it’s run for short time like go to the gas station turn it off it will not restart it acts like it’s flooded or it has an old carburetor can anybody help me

where is the fuel solenoid located on my 1996 5.7 Just installed a new fuel pump and do not get fuel to the engine. cannot hear the fuel pump kick in.
I have a 1996 Chevy express van, and one of the interior pieces broke off the passenger door exterior door handle. I've replaced door handles on other cars before, so I ordered a replacement and went to work. Let me tell you, it is IMPOSSIBLE to replace. The door handle needs to sit in this metal bracket that floats inside the door panel, and there's no way to seat the handle in the bracket and get it through the hole at the same time. There's no way to fit the bracket in properly after the door handle is in the hole. There's just no way I can figure to do this. I spent about six hours messing with it before giving up and calling a mechanic. So a mechanic came out yesterday and spent over two hours on it before giving up and telling me to call a body shop. Does anyone have experience with this, or know what the best kind of place to take it would be?
Currently the speedo is th standard US one that shows MPH. I would like to have this show KMH in the Large outer scale. Are the Canadian models metric?
