My wife's Previa will crank but won't start. We don't hear the electric fuel pump working. What should we do? Drop the tank to replace the fuel pump or check all the connections first. My son and I are lost

The 1995 Toyota Previa saw very few changes for the model year. The only major addition was the availability of a supercharged engine on the lower-end DX models.
The 1995 Previa came in eight trims: the DLX, the DLX AllTrac, the supercharged DLX, the supercharged DXL AllTrac, the LE, the LE AllTrac, the supercharged LE, and the supercharged LE AllTrac. The base engine was a 2.8-liter, 138 horsepower four-cylinder. The supercharged engine made 161 horsepower. Fuel economy was about 17/21 mpg. The 1995 Previa sat seven people, and had the option of captainsâ?? chairs in the second row instead of a bench.
The 1995 Toyota Previa had a following of loyal fans, many of whom loved the van for its roominess, futuristic shape and dashboard, reliability, and excellent handling. Those how still drive them today admit that they are lacking many features found in modern minivans, like dual sliding doors and DVD systems. Others complain that the van is seriously lacking in power, despite the supercharged option.

The rear wheel drive makes for some fun times in gravel and on slick pavement. The frame is that of a truck, so it rides like one. The ride height is nice in it is easy to control. However, because of the ride height you can feel as though you are going to tip (that feeling can be over come with some practice). Also, in the wind the vehicle can act like sail. It also has decent acceleration for a large block 4 cyl. Though the mileage is not that great at 20 mpg.Mar 18, 2008

I have a 95 Toyota Previa DX 2wd . It hesitates and almost bucks when accelerating until I reach about 35 to 40 miles an hour. Once I reach 35 to 40 miles an hour the van runs like normal. It idles good and reves up with no problems.it accelerates in reverse with no problems. The only problem is in Drive accelerating from 0 to 40 miles per hour. Does anybody have any ideas on what could cause this.

Can (should) I replace engine in 95 S/C AWD with 1997 engine?
My 95 LE/SC AWD with 262K miles just blew a head gasket (rough start for a couple days, then it "locked" trying to start, so I pulled #1 plug and coolant came out!) ... dealer wants $3K to $4K to repair. So I'm thinking about how/whether to repair and one option is put in a used engine. The available engine is not supercharged, so the (non-dealer) shop would have to move over my existing supercharger ... all in all, should I be trying to get a 1997 engine, would that be a drop-in replacement?

Random warm start issue. Frustrating, Please help
95 LE S/C. 150.000 miles. Engine starts fine when cold. Will crank but wont start when engine is normal operating temperature. There is a strong oder of fuel when this occurs. I've only owned van for 2 weeks. Dont know much about it when purchased on 10/1 But after researching its KBB value and owner reviews for $1200 i couldn't pass it up. Here are some quirks I've noticed in the 300 miles that ive driven it. 1 The warm start issue. (Does it 9 outta 10 warm starts) 2 transmission will seldom jump from drive 3 to OD, back and forth. Usually shifts fine but has happened twice. 3 At first cold start it runs and will idle great. 45 seconds after start up I hear a single click/chirp and engine idles poorly and will stall out if not I'm not there to feather the throttle. As soon as throttle is pushed it idles fine only to repeat the problem 1 minute later. 4 Occasinally it will idle up on its own. (Has done this twice) 5 getting terrible fuel mileage. 6 Check engine light is not on and does not illuminate when key is in on position. I have never seen it come on yet. Passed emissions on 10/4/2014. I read that if the check engine light does not turn on for at lease 2 seconds when key is in on position its a possible bad or faulty ECU, or there's a no power issue to ECU. Van has New fuel pump and filter. New "stock" air filter. New plugs, wires, rotor and cap. Oil change, Coolant changed and Throttle body has been cleaned. Aside from these "hopefully" minor issues everything works like it should. Is Extremely fast and has plenty of power. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
