The Chrysler Concorde LX was unchanged for 1995, sandwiched between two years of significant changes. The full size sedan had provided a stylish replacement for the long-running Fifth Avenue, and its popularity was also beneficial in phasing out older models like the LeBaron and the New Yorker. The Concorde was build upon the LH platform, inspired by Italian design, utilizing the cab-forward layout to maximize interior room. The Concorde LX was powered by a 3.3 liter V-6, which generated 161 horsepower and 181 pound feet of torque. The sedan stretched to nearly seventeen feet, but its lean build minimized weight. The 3330 pound sedan was also aided by sleek aerodynamic design, which helped maximize performance and fuel efficiency. The front wheel drive sedan sped from 0 to 60 in 8.5 seconds, while consuming fuel at a rate of 20/28 mpg. The LX featured a touring suspension tuning, providing a slightly firmer ride. It's LXi counterpart offered a softer feel. For the third consecutive year, air conditioning problems were the most frequent owner complaint. While many were lucky enough to simply add A/C issues to the Concorde's short list of recurring quirks, others were plagued by expensive service to patch leaks. The car's cup holders were also a source of ire, as they could not hold larger containers very well.
