Why is my srs light on in my Mitsubishi galant
I have a 2004 Mitsubishi galant n my srs light just came on while i was driving wat could be the problem for this light to pop on and why

nice looking, but not for dynamic drive type...
always breaking on sharp turns! (a small drifts... :))
is quick on starts, but engine gets tired very fast. and it's repair is quite expensive for this class. i would never get one... :) Jun 13, 2011

I have rebuilt my galant 94 modell, 150bhp V6 , to a VR-4 with 300bhp !
Also done bodykit upgrades to make it look more angry. Also started to design the interior. There will come pictures when all upgrading has been completed !Aug 25, 2010

Crap car yet, it has been totaled four times and still works like a charm. The rear alignment is off a little due to one of the accidents its been in. Nothing major as far as I know just a loaner from my sis, thank you sis!Jul 08, 2010

It gets up quick, would be better with a turbo :) Exhaust pooped on me but now it gives me a better opportunity to get a flowmaster or magnaflow system. Want to add a couple more things to it though so I can actually show it off and not be embarassed haha.Dec 17, 2009

Mines the V6 hatchback, not the butt-ugly sedan with massive bumpers that the American market got.
Good size, with the seats down the thatch can hold a lot of gear (3 mountain bikes with 3 people).
Great handling and performance is good when the engine and transmission both decide to work well. Which isn't all that often.Aug 12, 2009

it's a decent car but it's just got a lot of body damage and i've had to fix a million things on it. it's 15 yrs old, so you have to expect to fix things, but the previous owner was evidently not good at upkeep. Jul 27, 2009

Japanese do it for longer!!! I mean, ehh, their cars last longer... 1994 and still going strong.
The paint job could do with some work though...
The inside trim is dated, but can take some punishment.

This was a great car, Handled great, nice power, lots
of room, huge trunk, cheap to maintain, i had zero mechanical problems with that car, it also saved my
wife from a terrible crash she walked away. So it holds

Good all around car. Nice handling, good brakes. Fairly powerful engine, so of course, the gas mileage was compromised (about 28 hwy). I don't believe that any 4 door sedan that gets less than 25 mpg should even be on the market.
The paint started to fade in 2002, and eventually a (very) slow oil leak started. By 2006, it started needing regular repairs and I sold it for $1000, since i didn't really need it anymore.

HELP 1994 Mitsubishi Galant won't start.
I have a 1994 Mitsubishi Galant. And first off it was runing fine beside's the loud squeeling noise especially when I would turn on the A/C.. I was told that I'm going to be needing a water pump because it was going out. So a friend starting taking it apart to fix the water pump, however he did not get that far before realizing that he may not be able to finish the job. At this point all he has taken off is the A/C compressor and belt The parts by the alternator. The first top belt that you first see. And so he put that back on and now the car doesn't start at all. I gave it a jump ( long jump) an it finally turn's over but still does not start. Lights and radio comes on and it turns over but don't start. Then later goes back dead again . PLEEAASEE HELLPP!! Thanks.

94 Galant turns over but won't start up?
OK, I have a 1994 Galant, and it runs(ran) fine minus an annoying belt squeak at start up. I think the belt is from the power steering, as sometimes when turning the wheel there is a resistance requiring more effort to turn it. Anyway, I can out of gas 2 days before it did the no start problem, got gas in a gas can and made it home. The next day it ran fine, only went to the gas station and put 2 gallons in it. 6 or 7 hrs later, it won't start. Turning over great but not starting up. The dist rotor was blackened on one corner tip, replaced it, still no go. After about 30 mins of trying to crank it started up like 3 times, but died as soon as I pressed the gas pedal, every time. Now it just turns without ever actually starting. Unbolted the line from the main fuel filter to the rail and a little gas spilled out. Is this normal? Also read about the fuel pump, stuck my head in the trunk while someone else turned the key to ON, and heard nothing. No belts are broken, coolant is OK, oil is very low and I put more gas in from a gas can to make sure the pump was submerged enough. Plug wires look OK, haven't checked for spark though. Battery is getting low from crank tries but even when jumped it still won't start up. What else can I do? What is most likely that could be preventing a start?
