C why does my 3000gt rank no start?
94 3000gt new motor been running great drove about 100 miles shut it off now it cranks but wont start fuel pump mfi all work new ptu ignition coils?

I like that the car is above its time, with its: power windows, locks, mirrors, and seats. Also has the ability to push the backs of the rear seats forward, and plenty of room in the hatch for subwoofers and an amplifier for better audio.Apr 25, 2015

My 3000gt sl is a very good car. I have an excellant mechanic who once worked for Mitsubishi. When I had the engine relaced, he allowed me to help and learn how to do much of thew work. The price of the new was good. $1100.00 from Tiger Motors in Canada. He has kept me informed about all issues that may come up. If you have one; find a good mechanic.Sep 29, 2014

it's a good car, i had a dodge avenger before it and i deffinitly like the 3000Gt better. I bought my avenger for $1200, and that thing was a POS, but i bought the mitsubishi for only $850 with a $150 repair. it runs and sounds great.May 26, 2013

These cars (properly maintained) are fun to drive and still turn the heads. Very comfortable interior for two. Back seat is worthless. The 60k mile service is pricey if done with OEM parts, however, the extra cost is worth it in the long run. This car is perfect for that mid-life crisis. I would not recommend it as a boy-racer. Best suited for mature owners who desire sporty looks along with a comfy ride in a weekend cruiser.Nov 09, 2012

DO NOT attempt to "mod" these cars substantially unless you have access to a
shop with a lift! i had the car for 2 days and i already had the engine out of it
thanks to a lift. When im all done with it in the spring, i hope to be pushing 500hp

Overall a great and fun to drive vehicle. Attractive timeless design and a car definitely ahead of it's time. Gets stares all the time. Good performance, ok on gas but not very roomy in the back. If you have money to spend and patience I recommend getting the 6 speed VR4 version of this car for an incredible ride and performance. But if you still want a car that packs good horsepower and can get you from A to B quick get the SL. Apr 10, 2012

Awesome against those Honda's, Acura's, SRT-4's, G35's, etc. It'll get you where
you need to go, as long as you take care of it. And the fuel economy is great

I love the fierce appearance of the cars
exterior. Its very eye pleasing and I do get
compliments in my area (there are only 3 or 4
of these cars where I live). I eventually plan
on making some modifications which will include
a hood scoop etc. But so far I am pleased with
the body.
The interior seems a bit cramped in the back
according to my sister, but its my car so I
wont be sitting back there lol. I like the
bucket seats in the back and the trunk has adequate room for most of the things I would
carry.
Thats about as far as I have gotten with it. I
have yet to drive it. It has been started up
for me and everything sounds nice, and feels
fine. Once I get to drive him around I will be

I have a 94 3000gt SL 5 speed for sale car just
passed smog, and is registered clean title. the
car runs great engine is perfect and tranny has
never given me problems. Car is my daily driver
and is mechanically sound its dropped two
inches so it looks nice riding on its black
rims but it can be a stiff ride. has some
scratches and back bumper is cracked but still
looks good. some gauges are not working right
oil pressure gauge reads low all time but its
not and speedometer needs to be reset. interior
is ok seats have ripes but i just use seat
cover. Has K and N intake with carb sticker and
has 150000 miles. car has been well maintained
since i had it, im the second owner and i have

1st thru 3rd its a beast breaks good and has a wide wheeel base so it handles great in turns
build quality i suspect is good but like all things, if its not taken care of it wont last.

Performance brilliant, acceleration brutal, good grip, good brakes, very very very
fun to drive, modern appearance , very good built quality but very bad fuel
economy and cost of ownership, but very options to tuning and upgrade the

It is a good, fun car but dont expect too much of it. For as heavy and being frontwheel drive, the car handles well at high speeds, even cornering. The styling is awesome, ahead of its time! You wont see many of these in good condition or tastefully built on the road anymore.Nov 13, 2009

not liking the performance right now because i have to drop a auto transmission into it along with a new radiator. I love the car but i wish it were running a lot better. driver and front passenger seats are cool but i hate the back bucket seats.Oct 17, 2009

great car overall, best looking car on the road during the early 90's and with a couple mods it can be still the best looking car. handling is great. for a v-6 its really fast. the quality of the car is really great. inside and out the 3000gt is truely a nice looking car the has much to offer the driver.Jun 16, 2009

Only FWD affordable sports car that I have found around here.
Great performance. Handles great, and even stock it can blow away a Mustang GT. The car has done pretty good in terms of quality. My clear coat has started to peel though.
Style. Nothin better!!

The car came to me with some issues that are standard with cars over 90,000 miles, it needed a new alternator and clutch. Once i got the new parts in she purred like a dream. Acceleration was top notch, which is expected from a V6, and the handling was solid, to the point of base line drifting as a stock car. The body style is what attracted me to the model in the first place, and i honestly wish they hadn't discontinued the vehicle because they were at there peak when they took it away. Upkeep costs were very low, standard for an older car and regular car maitenance, and the gas milege was decent for a performance vehicle sitting between 18mpg-22mpg. As i said earlier the car was a dream to drive and had the get up and go to excite the racing bone in anyone. I highly recommend the car to anyone and have more than once in the past.

The 3000GT is an awesome car! Yeah, she can be a bit of a gas hog but that's a small price i'll pay for the performance upgrade over my old car. She's primp and preen and a bit of a show off, but she knows what she's doing.Mar 29, 2008

This is my favorite car (that I'll ever own). Looks wonderful, semi-exotic graceful lines. Great performance. Ask anyone who's owned one and you'll get a great review. I recently tried to start my gt and to my dismay, it wouldn't start. So I went to the local parts store and got a new battery. Didn't work. Tried the starter spray. Didn't work. I'm at wits end. Also, none of the internal electronics work. Just the dash lights

Is it worth the expense?
Found a 94 SL FWD needing lots of work. It needs a front and rear glass, one tail light ad both headlights plus a transmission. Engine runs but needs tlc. not sure of the mileage. I will probably have to put $6,000 + into to it to have a daily driver. Is it worth it? I can purchase it for $500 or less. i previously owned a 94 SL and it was a fun car to drive. Your comments are welcome.

transmission won't go into gear..
I was getting onto the freeway and my car was in the middle of shifting gears and seemed like it just went into neutral and won't go back into any gear now not even reverse. But it still has park only park and neutral so it seems. Now my car is stuck in can't move it unless it's pushed or towed. WTF happened to my car. Car starts idles check engine light turns on and stays on as long as car is running sounds fine but when I move shifter into gear nothing happens but neutral. Please help.......
