MPG for v8 94 discovery
got a discovery 1, gas guzzler, but I enjoy its performance off road.whats the MPG for this?and any fuel saving tips?greatly appreciate it..

Good family car, but can sometimes be unreliable, good ammount of space and comfort, also good offroad despite not having much power, all round bang for buck its not too bad considering you would pay 5-10k more for a patrol or landcruiserMay 17, 2012

Very hard to see out the front window glass.The headliner came down too far at the top,and blocked the top part of the W/S,to where it made it a little unsafe to drive.Constantly having to look in the area of obstructive view to see when the traffic light was going to turn green.Dec 06, 2011

amazing all round for everyday, work use and ofcourse a remarkable off road toy had hours of fun and gets u through the winter with ease and amazig and comfy to drive. its very versitile whatever you wana use it 4Dec 02, 2011

Performance: 2.5L Diesel is sluggish but torquey, brakes good, handles like a 4x4
Build Quality: Not great, but normal for a Discovery
Appearance: Rareish Bodykit on this one which looks great
Cost of Ownership: Diesel is Good on fuel

the best 4 by 4 by far...this is the british best
contribution to man kind...I love european cars,
but this is the best when it comes to four by

Perfomance: Slow, So very slow. Brakes are just about adequate. Handles like a 4X4.
Build Quality: Not great, mechanically sound, electrics a bit haywire
Appearance: Nice, a bit farmyard though
Cost of Ownership: Good on Diesel and cheapish to insure.

Awesome offroad . gas gussler... goes anywhere, over everything ...
big inside... lots of space... big enought for 6 adults.....
very wide, expensive tyres
door locks do not work as they should any more.
good supportive seats.
V8 engine sound......

this car is very powerful and cheap to run it also has very quick acceleration
it is good at breaking as it is a four wheel drive car this car is very fun to drive and very good for pullinh large items

Best Car I've ever owned. Goes evreywhere I wanna go and carry's everything I need it too weather it's camping gear, work tools, or a load of mates on a night out.
Could be better on diesel - but 30 odd MPG from 2 tonnes of 4x4's not exactly bad is it?

It was cheap, it looks a bit rough, but it gets me from A-B via
road or track. Performance - slow, Handling - like an oil

This was a friends car that i took off road and it was ace and i would highly reccommend a land rover to anyone that was wanting to go where no suzuki or jap 4x4 could go in the world

Well, overall I loved my Disco' cos it was high up, and unusual for me as I was 18 when I had it. It was useful for moving stuff, had great character, and I got it free. It was usually slow unless the turbo was spinning hard, but great in the wet and muddy stuff. Not exactly great dynamics, but very comfy and ATE speedhumps!!Oct 09, 2008

you can put a great big load in the back and it dont hug the ground when loaded,you can go any where in it and not get stuck hopefully ,diesels are better than the petrol models,you are sat up high so you can see more of whats going on up front,Sep 25, 2008

easy to work on and maintain, good miles per galon. can take the whole familiy, with the seven seat option. fold the seats down for a large loading area. can tow like only a landrover can. real work horse. with roof rack fitted can carry even more. need to keep an eye on the suspension bushes or it'll roll on corners. Absolutly fantastic family 4x4. Great design ideas, strong TDI engine, good looker and lasts the course. Managed 370,000 miles (With very little servicing), and is probably still going strong.Dec 31, 2007

Engine cut out while driving! Stranded in France
Was driving along and engine cut out, i managed to get to layby (using random open wifi in village) i have no electrics, wipers don't work, no electric windows BUT my head lights and spot lights work as well as hazards???????? battery is fine and i have checked all fuses and they are all ok.
