I inherited this car from my dad when he passed away in 2011. The car was 17 years old and only had 60,000 miles on it. It looked brand new and since it was a florida car there was not a speck of rust on it. I worried about driving it from Florida to Ohio since it had not been driven in 13 years. It started right up with a new fuel pump and Battery and has been going strong ever since. I have put 38000 miles on it and I am close to turning over 100000 miles. Not bad for a 21 year old car.Apr 18, 2015

I think the stars I gave it say it all, even after 20 years the shine on the body and feel of the leather is show-room. Gas mileage around town is lousy but on the hyway it gets better than my wife's Taurus Wagon used to.Apr 28, 2014

I disliked the fact that no one told me I had one of the last sturdy gems of Cadillac. Now I will really love my baby! 1994 & 1995 DeVille will go down in history as the best engine in the most newest Cadillac ever built!Oct 29, 2013

This is Prissilla, My 94 Deville she's got the 4.9L V8, and while the northstar (N*) is rated at more power, I've "raced" a few and any that beat me did it no more than their door to my hood, I love the car, I actually Bring it to street racing meetups, and it may not beat a swapped, turboed, and stripped Civic, but its more than enough to keep up with them during spirited driving. My cadillac was maintained Religiously, as it was a Canadian Service Vehicle... (Found out after I bought it) I have had to do a few paint touch ups, but its got 183k Miles and just got the power antennae, and Fuel Pressure Regulator replaced. Those are the only repairs i've needed in the last 9 months, and 8000 Miles.
I average 13 MPG City (Computer says 15) and over 32 Highway (in the right conditions... 25-28 is normal for highway... if you factor in that I have not hd to replace anything but the tires, power antennae, and Fuel Pressure Regulator, its much cheaper than something else... My dads 95 Camry 2.2l, Auto.. GREAT car, always goes when needed.. he gets 24mpg avg. I get 20mpg avg on premium Gas.. if you calculate 4800 miles a year (20 miles a day, 20 times a month) the cadillac cost just over $960 yearly for gas While my dads Camry for the same amount of driving at 24mpg, costs just barely under $760 for a difference of $200, or $0.55 per day... Difference is that when he needed to move bricks for the garden, $40 - uhaul, when he needed to take stuff to storage$45 - uhaul, when he needs to drive more than 3 people and himself, $60 - rental car. when he wants to go camping, someone elses car... The 4300lb Deville just hauled my brother and I with 5 loaded duffle bags 3 computers, water, food, and a full tank of gas through 3 mountain ranges and got 29 there, and 27mpg coming back, and on top of that, it is rated to tow up to 3500lbs, more than enough to save my dads camry when it breaks, let alone bricks, bags, a camper trailer, 20 foot boat, and more than enough to tow the miata, and the tercel its previously saved from the side of the road. The Cadillac Deville is one of the most underrated cars out there.... Mine has been with me for what seems like a long time, but I hope will only be a chapter in our long story together.Oct 09, 2012

Probably the best car i ever owned. It handled like a cloud. Rarely needed maintenance, I had to replace a wire in my dash that costed $400, but thats it. Gas mileage on the interstate is amazing. Its fun to drive as long as you enjoy cruising, not that it couldn't hold its own in a stock race but i wouldn't use it for that.Oct 27, 2010

unique and inovative designe which still stands out from other models, a power full engine.
A high performance car, but not build for hot climate regions like middle east or africa, engine heating problem for the hot climate region, parts and maintenance.Aug 04, 2009

First 4 years of ownership and up to 90K miles on the odometer, this behemoth of a car was one of the most spacious & gracious of cars I have ever owned. Once this 100K mile/fisrt tune up car hit95K more or less, everything that could go wrong with it, and I mean EVERYTHING, went haywire. The electrical system has gone haywire on it. The dealership cannot catch up to it's bugs. EVERYTHING electrical has failed!Oct 24, 2008

I loved this car. I did not want to trade it. I had to have a reliable vehicle because I traveled for business. The car got up to 180,000 miles. So I had to trade. This car had the smoothest ride. And it was as beautiful the day I traded it as it was when I bought it, at 130,000 miles.Jul 27, 2008

It's plenty fast in a relaxed way, gets 25-30MPG on the highway if you know how to use it, and it has a great stereo for when I need to up my A-game. On the downside, the driver's side window won't go down, 'cause of a stripped gear somewhere in the system. Annoying 'cause I just GOT a new window motor. Also, the A/C's on the fritz, but beyond that, I can't complain!Jul 07, 2008

My headlights and turn signal dont work I my 94 CADILLAC DEVILLE & for some reason either the interior dashboard light or the headlights will stay on can someone tell me how to fix both my questions pls and thank you
I got a 1994 Cadillac DeVille with a Northstar motor recently I was driving it and it just started backfiring in the throttle body I pretty much had to hold the pedal all the way to the floor just to get 5 miles an hour to get home after it sits for an hour or so cools down I guess and start up and runs fine but after about 15 minutes of warm-up it starts stalling out and backfiring again
94 Cadillac Northstar stalls going downhill will not restart, replaced fuel pump fuel filter. First occurrence just above 1/4 tank, second occurrence write about 3/4 of a tank a fuel.
